Do you remember the first time you tried to skate? How young were you? At the age of seven most kids are just starting to learn how to skate, but not little Victoria Yakovets from Russia. Born in 2010, this amazing tiny skater is now 9 years old but even at seven, she has proven just how promising she is as a figure skater.
In 2017, young Victoria wowed the judges and audience in one of the competitions she joined. It was not only because she was a really great talent, but her costume was stunning as well!
Wearing a hot pink panther ensemble, this fierce little skater showed the crowd just what she was made of.
Her unique costume instantly caught the attention of the people in the crowd and when she started her routine everyone went ballistic with utter admiration of her skills.
However, just like any other contender about to face an important competition little Victoria looked obviously nervous before her routine. She is just seven, after all. And the rink was a huge stage where all eyes wouldbe on her.
When it was her turn to wow the crowd, Victoria took a few deep breaths before lifting her arms up, making a fierce face and gliding her way to the center of the rink.
Her coach seemed to have given her a few words of encouragement and reminders before the tiny skater went on her way.
As Victoria reaches the center of the rink she keeps her moves simple but consistently graceful. And then her accompaniment played in the air and it was none other than the “Pink Panther” theme song!
What a fitting and engaging song it was! Everything about Victoria’s routine was well-thought out. From her costume, down to her music, it can be seen that her coach really went all out for the tiny performers routine. Now, the only thing left to show them is that Victoria has what it takes to bring a completely marvelous performance on the rink!
Her routine started slow and steady, with little graceful turns and jumps meant to entice the audience.
As the song progressed, little Victoria’s moves also were bigger and more daring!
Her camel spins were becoming longer soon transitioning from sit spins to Biellman spins in an instant! This kind of technique and combination is not easy, especially for someone her age. This girl is definitely in it to win it and she was stunning to watch!
Her exhibition of talent is beautiful and it urged everyone in the crowd to want more.
After exciting the crowd with her spinning technique combinations, young Victoria went around the rink again to prepare for her next moves.
All the while, this little figure skater never lost her engagement with the audience and kept her showmanship intact. Her energy was over the roof and everyone could not take their eyes off of her.
She was even doing some kicks and tiny jumps as she danced to the tune of her music. Her performance is a total winning package!
Her spins and splits are phenomenal and she was not even looking like she was having a difficult time at all! She is truly an amazing figure skater whose skill shines at just 7-years-old. It’s truly exciting to think how much she’ll progress her skills and timing over the years when she’s already so brilliant.
I would not be surprised if she bagged gold in her competition. Oh, wait. She actually did! What an amazing figure skater, indeed! She definitely rocked her routine and she won with hot pink colors!
