Rare things are quite amazing, but to witness something that happens only once in every 50 million people is definitely an oddity that transcends being just “rare”. It is incredibly extraordinary!

Three sisters from Mansfield, Ohio just did the unbelievable when they all gave birth to their babies on the very same day. What’s even more amazing was that they gave birth in the same hospital and were taken care of by the same doctor! How exceptional is that?

On July 3, sisters Ariel Williams, Ashley Haynes, and Daneesha Haynes delivered their babies at the Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital. Dr. Edroy McMillan was their obstetrician.

The event is not just any other delivery. It was a moment that happens once in every 50 million, as mentioned in an Associated Press story from 1998.

Daneesha could not believe it when she and her sisters realized they were about to give birth, and their deliveries are happening all within July 3.

“It was a blessing. It’s amazing,” Daneesha shared with Mansfield News Journal. “This kind of blew everybody away.”

Within a span of four and a half hours, three lovely additions to the family came out into the world and it certainly made the entire family happier and excited about the amazing coincidence.

All three of the women gave birth naturally, deciding to induce labor for their delivery. The amazing three-in-one-day birth story almost did not happen though.

Daneesha was not supposed to give birth until July 23, but she had a high-risk pregnancy and had to have an earlier delivery. Her little girl was born three weeks earlier and it was for the best.

“I was hoping and praying that I didn’t have to do the C-section,” Daneesha further shared.

Emrie Haynes was born weighing only 4 pounds, 14 ounces, easily the lightest among the three babies.

Her grandmother, Grandma Deborah Ware, fondly calls her the runt of the bunch, but she’s one runt with really strong lungs. She knows that her little princess will soon catch up with her cousins.

“She’s the smallest, but she’s going to pass everybody up,” she said. “You watch.”

The sisters were even making their three-in-one-day delivery a fun race to see would will give birth first. This is all because a friend of their family promised to buy lunch to whoever delivered first.

Daneesha wanted to win, but sadly she was the last to give birth. Too bad!

The first one to deliver her baby was Ariel Williams, 20 years old, who gave birth to her daughter, Sincere, at 10:10 AM. Ashley, 27 years old, was the next to give birth to her son, Adrion, at 11:26 AM. And finally, 25-year-old Daneesha delivered her little girl, Emrie, at 2:43 PM.

“I was kind of getting emotional,” she told Mansfield News Journal. “We were in a race. Once we had our water break, I was just trying to be the first. I didn’t win the lunch, and I was the hungriest.”

Because of her early birth, little Emrie had to undergo further tests to ensure she’s in perfect condition before going home.

Waiting for the news about the sisters’ delivery was filled with excitement and also frustration, as there is only a limited number of people who are allowed to support the ladies in the hospital.

Grandma Ware’s newborn grandchildren almost had their birthdays the same as America’s Independence Day. The party for this momentous day will now be more meaningful than ever, now that three little angels have joined the clan.

“I don’t know what kind of party we’ll have. We’ll party for two days straight,” Daneesha happily predicted.
