This baby would do anything to get out of nap time
Adults die from a nap and children die from escaping from it.

Can you really blame them though? When there are toys to be played with and cartoons to watch – going to sleep might not be top priority.

One mom captured the most adorable footage after discovering her baby wasn’t napping like she was supposed to be. But instead of the sweetheart laying back down, she decided to amplify the cuteness.

Kids are known for trying to be sneaky. However, little do they know parents have eyes like hawks, ears like dogs, and a heck of a lot more life experience.

The mom in the video below knows her one-year-old daughter is still awake in her playpen. It should be the girl’s naptime, so she decides to walk back into the room.

Sure enough, the baby is sitting up in the corner of her crib. Gotcha!

Older children might close their eyes quickly and break out the old “fake snoring” act if a parent were to catch them still awake. Babies, of course, don’t know that trick yet.

Mom asks her daughter,

“Ummm…where’s sleeping? What are you doing?”

The girl’s got an empty bottle and is playing with her stuffed animal. When mom approaches she excitedly hops right up. But instead of focusing on the “sleep question” the baby asks, “Where’d Daddy go?” Oh, I see what you’re trying to do, kid…

Okay, let’s get back to the question.

Mom tries again and asks, “Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping?” This time there was no skirting around it and the baby happily agrees, “Yeah!”

But let’s face it, it’s pretty clear no sleeping is going on in this room right now.

Since mom has her admitting to it, she wants some action. She sweetly says, “Let’s see it,” only to have her daughter realize what’s going on…

The baby responds, “Oh….” then so perfectly exclaims, “I did it!” Now, maybe it was a really fast cat nap, but something tells me that just isn’t the truth. Nice try, cutie pie!

When all else fails, just act adorable and pretend like you have no idea what someone’s talking about.

In the video, mom brings up “sleeping” again and the girl starts out by acting shocked. However, she has no excuse, so she takes the silent road instead.

The woman then asks, “Did you forget?” Happy as a clam the girl exclaims “Yeah!” and claps her hands. Likely she’s thinking, “Thanks for the excuse, Mom – I had run out of ideas.”

Okay, now it’s really time for you to take a nap.

After mom mentions the whole “sleep topic” again, the baby asks again, “Where’d Daddy go?” What, we’re back to square one of changing topics?
