Two things in this world are certain, everyone knows that Kit- Kat bars are one of the best chocolate bars and the college experience can be filled with desperate times. A college town is filled with young adults that are struggling, stressed, and just trying to graduate and they pretty much do whatever they want. All the time. Some of them are so desperate that they resort to stealing, but this thief wasn’t looking for valuables.

Instead, he stole a candy bar laying in the front seat of this guys car. Specifically a Kit-Kat bar.

Kansas State University student Hunter Jobbins didn’t think much about leaving his car unlocked in front of the dorms at K State. He’d done it a million times before, but this time was different. The next time he got in his car, he realized something seemed off. After looking through his things, nothing valuable was taken, but of all things he was missing the Kit-Kat bar he bought himself earlier. All that was left was a note.

It read: “Saw Kit Kat in your cup holder. I love Kit-Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked. Did not take anything other than the Kit-Kat. I am sorry and hungry.” At least this thief was thoughtful enough to leave a note and the decency to not take anything else. Just a stranger that would do anything for a Kit-Kat.

“Well I didn’t lock my car because locking it is kind of a pain (car issues) and I knew I get back into it in just a couple of minutes so I didn’t think it would be a big deal.” Jobbins said in an interview.

Obviously this strange interaction was a social media moment, and once Jobbins put it on Facebook and Twitter, it went viral. It got so much attention that the Ki-Kat company itself tweeted back to Jobbins, asking “WHO DOES THAT?” and offering to replace the stolen goods. Lucky for him, the Hershey company gave him a break and justice was served in the form of endless Kit-Kats.
