One Mexican restaurant in Austin, Texas knows that itโs good to laugh.
El Arroyo has been serving up a side of chuckles with its marquee sign for years now.
Rather than promote their food, the sign features an ever-changing array of jokes and puns.
Over the years, Austin residents have grown accustomed to driving past the sign and having a laugh.
Weโve included 11 recent signs the restaurant has put up that we found particularly amusing.

Donโt we all wish this would happen? One day itโs going to happen.

If somebody tells you they will be ready in five minutes, they are lying to you.
It never happens. Five minutes means, at least, 20 minutes.
If they say 20 minutes, that means at least 45 minutes if not an hour.
If they say an hour, they arenโt coming and probably arenโt your friend anymore.
Kids are not efficient with words
Maybe itโs because they havenโt been around as much as the rest of us, but kids seem to have no respect for other peopleโs time.
They never get right to the heart of a story.
A lot of the stories they tell arenโt interesting either.
I try not to listen to them about anything.
One day, you might be defined by your text messages
Sending text messages might seem harmless, but remember you are carving those messages into stone, and they could come back to haunt you someday.
You can complain, but you still have to do it
Any difficult task is made more enjoyable by complaining about it in a funny way.
Swearing also helps.
Saying youโre over it and being over it are two totally different things
The drunk version of you holds grudges that the sober version of you has completely forgotten about.
Everything you learned in school is wrong
Most of the things we were told we needed to know as kids are now on YouTube.
Just type up what you need to know when you need to know it.
I donโt even know why weโre bothering with school anymore.
Itโs not like itโs working. Weโre still pretty dumb.

This is a good question. You know someone was like, โHey guy, I bet if I sat on the back of that cheetah, I could get around really fast.โ

Or maybe you will, it really depends on your expectations going in.

This would be a fun name to give the cityโs utilities.
Even when the power goes out in the winter and people are distressed, everyone can repeat their favorite Austin Powers catchphrases to stay warm.
We learn more from our mistakes
Itโs true that we learn more from our failures than we do from our successes.
This means that the smartest people in the world are old people who have failed a lot.
