Regular shoes are cool. But you know what’s even cooler? Shoes that look like feet. We’re talking full-on human skin, all the way from the leg to the toe.
Have you ever wished you were an alien? Or maybe you just really want to give people a good scare in public?
Well, now there’s the perfect shoe for you. It’s terrifying, and it’s bound to turn heads.
Introducing the hottest thing in street style right now, the “Skin Heel,” which comes from Montreal-based fashion duo Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran, who together, are known as Fecal Matter.
The brand is famous on Instagram, where you can see several disturbing photos and video of the freaky shoe.

Before this, the two used Photoshop to create the heel, which was featured on Vogue. However now, it is a reality. The thigh-high shoe is made out of silicon and comes with lifelike toes, faux moles, hairs, and purposely uneven skin color.
“Everyone was like, ‘Is it Photoshopped? Is it not Photoshopped?’ We wanted to put it out in real life,” Bhaskaran shared. The heels were created by artist Sarah Sitkin to replicate Dalton’s leg.
So far, they have only created one pair, but the duo said they plan on making more, selling each pair for $10,000.
Considering how freakishly realistic they are, you can imagine how much detail-oriented, hard work goes into the making.
The duo is, however, thinking about making a cheaper, more affordable pair for us puny humans. Maybe pumps.
The shoe has been deemed as “upsetting” by some, which is probably a compliment to the duo since they aim to “provoke society” with their work. They are famous for their alien-like models and bizarre fashion.
According to Insider, “the shoes are a physical incarnation of what Fecal Matter believes humans might look like as a result of social media ideals and body modification.”
Their captions on Instagram also tend to make dark comments on society. “Beauty is pain,” “Fuck you Fascism,” “sickening,” “Bulletproof,” “Don’t conform,” and “Create your own gender” are just a few of the words that accompany their stomach-turning photos.
