Even when we feel good on the inside, sometimes our outer beauty could use a little kick in the pants.
Terri from Texas actually had a very difficult year and needed some positivity in her life. But leave it to The Makeover Guy to step in and make her feel fabulous again.
Change can be a good thing, yet, it doesn’t mean it’s always easy.
55-year-old Terri had a lot of big things happen in her life over the past year. First, she moved with her husband and kids to a new area where she didn’t know a soul – saying she became a “professor’s widow.”
Terri was also “forced into retirement” (although still kept very busy being a wife and mom). Lastly, there was some devastation as well. The family experienced three tornadoes, and sadly lost two of their little puppies.
“It’s just been a really crazy year.”
With all that Terri had going on, it’s really not surprising that her looks started to suffer. Fortunately, she decided to call in for some help from celebrity stylist, Christopher Hopkins. AKA, The Makeover Guy.
Christopher’s a famous singer, author, and a magician when it comes to beauty transformations.
He owns a salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he’s styled many different clients. Whether it’s a Hollywood starlet or a housewife in need of a fresh look, The Makeover Guy knows how to make a person feel like royalty.
If you’ve never seen one of Christopher’s makeovers, then you’re in for a real treat. He posts videos on his YouTube channel that feature different clients in need of his assistance. The end results are uplifting and inspirational, to say the least.
Terri finally had the chance to take a seat in Christopher’s studio chair. Her family was even there for support and to see the “big reveal.”
It was a whole new Terri! She had started with long hair that appeared a tad scraggly, yet, now had a soft style.
Christopher explained in the video description what his thoughts behind it were.
“Her long hair just didn’t suit her, and she didn’t know what to do with it. Cutting off the last two years gave her an immediate lift and we had a blast the rest of the day. Golden blonde, in a simple to repeat hairstyle, was just the ticket for her new outlook.”
The Texas mom was also transformed with a gorgeous face of makeup that made her appear vibrant and younger. Not only was she surprised getting a peek at her new look, but her family was stunned too!
It’s so much fun watching the candid reactions in Christopher’s videos. Terri’s family didn’t disappoint, as it was obvious they were awestruck by what they saw! You couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces.
Terri seemed quite pleased with the results of her makeover (how could she not?), especially since she hadn’t been putting much effort into the beauty department. She told the camera,
“I’m surprised I don’t look homeless anymore. I look like I can be employed now. I’m employable!”
Although it had been a difficult year, it seemed like there would be brighter days on the horizon. She admitted:
“It was time, I needed to change something.”
