These Young Lads Are More Mature Than Many Men When It Comes To Gender Taboo Topics
Mom was out shopping with her boys for back to school items. So naturally, there were all kinds of items needed including some for their sister.
A Favor For Little Sister
The boy’s younger sister needed a starter bra
The boys showed no discomfort in helping their Mom choose one for their younger sister. Mom was very proud of her boys and decided to post a picture of the shopping adventure on a private Facebook page.
To The Surprise Of Everyone
The private page was Pantsuit Nation, and Mom’s post got a lot of attention.
At her last count, she had received over 65K responses with the majority being positive.
The Boys Step It Up A Notch
Not only do they not mind shopping for their sister’s bra they are kind to their female friends as well
Both boys will carry tampon or sanitary napkins in their backpacks for their female friends if necessary, with no embarrassment.
The Horror Stories
The post on Facebook caused a lot of women to share some harrowing experiences that they had suffered back in their youth.
Some say they can often remember when they needed these personal items, and they did not have them.
Another woman went back in time to remember a very embarrassing moment for her. It was during a time when she was on her menstrual cycle, and she had soaked through her clothing. One of her male friends kindly offered her his sweatshirt so she could wrap it around her. Shen never ever forgot this kind act.
The Male Perception
So many of the women shared stories of how their Fathers or husbands would never dream of buying female supplies. They just couldn’t phantom doing this.
Ancient Thinking
As shocking as it may be, some of the responses came from people who were offended.
They just didn’t think it was appropriate that Mom would post something so personal, and were taken back at her approach of modern-day thinking.
Mom’s Approach
This Mother feels that it is time to put an end to what is considered to be a taboo topic. She is adamant that she is going to raise her boys to be men who do not attach a stigma to what is a perfectly natural function of the female body. Most would agree that she is definitely on the right track.
Mom has every right to be very proud of these two young men that are setting a great example not only for the other males of their age but also for the many men who can’t accept the natural workings of a woman’s body.
Not So Strange
Some may think that these boys should be really singled out for carrying personal hygiene products in their bags for their female friends.
It would seem that they are not the only ones that have sympathy for what can happen to a girl at that time of the month. This young man does exactly the same thing and always makes sure that he has some on hand in case a “sister in need” requires one.
These young people should be commended for their maturity and for taking on a gender taboo topic
