Sometimes, the most amazing voices, come out of the most unlikely people. This soft speaking 13-year-old girl completely surprises the judges and crowd with this powerful cover of “True Colors.” It’s hard to believe that voice is coming from a child, she gives Cindy Lauper a run for her money!
This 13-year-old girl sings “True Colors” and wows the judges with the power of her voice.
13-year-old Shaniah Lian Rollo lives in Dublin, Ireland. She’s extremely nervous because this is the very first competition she’s ever been in and she’s got a lot riding on it. The winner of Ireland’s Got Talent gets a whopping 50,000 euros when the judges ask what she would spend the money on, she melts their hearts with her answer.
The family has immigrated to Dublin, but unfortunately, they couldn’t afford to bring everyone so her siblings and she are separated for now. When the judges ask, what she would spend the money on? This is what she says:
“I want to use the money for my brothers and sisters to go here, so we can be a whole family because I really miss them so much,” Shaniah says, as her father fights back tears.
As soon as Shaniah starts singing the crowd lets out a cheer, and the judges are stunned.
Right from the start, it’s clear that this girl can sing! Her voice is so unique, it’s soft and smooth, with just a hint of raspiness. The host of the show can’t believe her ears, you can see the shock on her face when the talented singer begins.
She has a very strong Irish accent so when the word ‘through’ comes up in the song, she says ‘true,’ which I thought was super unique and cute!
People are mesmerized by the young singer, completely focused on the brilliant voice that’s echoing through the stadium.
Everyone is completely tuned-in, they can’t believe how amazing her voice is. It’s such a natural performance, not over the top, it’s perfect for the song she picked!
Her dad can’t help but get emotional, not even he knows how his little girl was blessed with such a stunning voice! As the song comes to an end, the crowd goes crazy for Shaniah, she won them over with ease.
The judges had nothing but compliments for the 13-year-old, she definitely made it through to the next round!
When her performance ends, she gets a standing ovation from everyone, including the judges. When it comes time for the judges to address her, they all have wonderful things to say about the talented, young, singer.
“For your age, you have such amazing control of your vocals. Have you gotten lessons? Have you been coached?” Said, one judge. “You’ve got the most amazing voice, you sang that from your heart, you sang that for your siblings and they will be so proud of you!” Said another.
