Home ownership has a lot of benefits. But it also comes with a hefty price tag, as well as lots of responsibility. So some people choose a simpler and more affordable life by converting a camper, trailer, or even a van into a living space. One retired pharmacist, named Sharon, did just that, according to MobileAdventures.

She decided to celebrate her golden years by living in a trailer. The move now allows her simplicity, as well as the ability to travel whenever she wants to. The perfect nomad lifestyle!

Whether you’re retired or not, you’ll definitely want to check out how Sharon transformed a T@b M@x S model teardrop trailer into the perfect stress-free living environment.

Sharon recently retired from her pharmaceutical job. And what’s one of the first things she did? Move into the cutest tiny house on wheels.

She is also now able to live sustainably and off the grid thanks to solar panels that are hooked up to her trailer.

“I researched every small trailer on the market. I literally did. Some I saw in person; most of them online. And this one fit the bill,” Sharon told CheapRVLiving. “I’ve been full-timing in it now for a year and a half, and I absolutely love it. I’ve had four previous RVs that were all larger, and I wasn’t full timing because I was still working. And so when I got this little guy here, I wouldn’t look back.”

Some may say there is no way to make a teardrop trailer into a real home, but Sharon would be the first to disagree with that statement. Her little trailer is now her new mini-home, complete with a functional kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and cabinet space.

Sharon’s fully functional kitchen is compact and the perfect size for everything she needs. It includes a sink, two-burner stove, a refrigerator, and cabinet space. It also features a large window over the sink, giving Sharon a wonderful view wherever she decides to travel.

Next to the kitchen is the bathroom, including both shower and toilet. The shower and toilet share the same space, which just means less mess to clean.

Bedroom with sitting space

The teardrop trailer also features a bedroom for Sharon, including a twin-size bed and sitting space. The bed can flip up into a sofa. The bedroom also has large windows that let in natural light. Plus, the area has cabinet and storage space.

Sharon also loves that her teardrop home allows her to stand up straight. And since some trailer types are shorter, the teardrop height made more sense for her everyday needs.

Other creature comforts

There’s even more to Sharon’s tiny retirement home. It also has an entertainment center that can play CDs, DVDs, and radio. She also has a flat screen TV to watch movies or TV.

It also has a large ceiling fan and wall air conditioner, which she sometimes runs if she’s plugged in. Plus, the trailer has a cool “phantom” screen door. The windows in the trailer open up and include screens and privacy shades.

Light and visibility

One of the best things Sharon loves about her new home is the light and visibility it provides.

“I would not want to be in a little, dark trailer. That would just make me crazy,” Sharon told CheapRVLiving.

Sharon is able to head out on the road whenever she wants, and she tows her trailer using her Jeep. Check out the video below to see Sharon’s super cool tiny living space.
