LSS or last song syndrome, it’s when you hear a song that just sticks in your head and you just can’t seem to stop playing and singing that song in your head.
Caution: The song Borboletinha will definitely stir a last song syndrome.
Okay, so we may not be familiar with the title and the song lyrics but it will be something that we’ll all enjoy.
Borboletinha literally translates to little butterfly. It’s a Portuguese word and also the name of a famous nursery rhyme that is an all-time favorite. Why? Because the lyrics are cute and the beat of the song is just so catchy!
Borboletinha tá na cozinha
Borboletinha
Tá na cozinha
Fazendo chocolate
Para a madrinha.
Poti, poti*
Perna de pau
Olho de vidro
E nariz de
Pica-pau pau pau.
The lyrics translates to
Little Butterfly in the Kitchen
Little butterfly
It’s in the kitchen.
Making chocolate
For the godmother.
Prawn, prawn,
Wooden leg
Glass eye
And nose of a wood,
Wood, woodpecker.
It’s all about a little butterfly in the kitchen making chocolate for the godmother. Now, the ingredients aren’t quite what you would expect. In fact, they are weird but hey, the song works out and is even really cute, right?
Now, there is a viral video of a teacher showing her students how to do a rhythmic dance of the song Borboletinha. While this activity is rather very common, you may ask, why did it become viral?
The Steps
The deal here is that the steps of this dance is really easy but for kids to do it? It can be quite tricky. You also need to be focused because if you miss one beat or one step, the whole dance would already be compromised.
The Rhythm
The rhythm of this simple yet beautiful dance is amazing. Each beat is so inviting. You would just want to go up and try it yourself. The kids would simply hop on each box, goes back and takes another step forward and so on. Let the beat and the rhythm guide you and you’ll do good in the dance and focus!
The Cute Kids
Okay, so this is a giveaway, look at those cute little kids who are having a great time dancing? What a great way to spend their school days with fun and catchy activities such as this one. With just a little example from their teacher, these kids were able to steal the show!
The video now has more than 465k views and we’re sure that you have played this video more than once.
YouTube user Maria Jose Sanchez Parra also uploaded another version of the song, this time of adults doing the rhythmic dance.
The catch is that its way more complicated as 2 pairs would start on each of the opposing side of the group of squares. Still, it’s equally catchy and will definitely want you to try it too.
