Dance has evolved quite a bit over the last 100 years.

From the tango and the waltz of the 1920s, to the disco grooves of the 1970s, to the hip-hop dances of the 1990s, we’ve seen dance styles take all sorts of interesting turns.

And depending on what time period you were born into or what type of music moves you the most, the style of dance that you enjoy will be totally unique to you.

In Munich, Gernamny, there is a dance festival called Rock That Swing that is all about the Swing and Rock’N’Roll era of the 1920s through the 1950s.

The festival is dedicated to the style, music, and dance of that time period and makes sure to put on an incredible show every year.

The festival offers dancing lessons, live music, and incredible preformances.

In the video below, you can see the dance performances from the dance teachers that participated in the festival this year.

The moves that these dancers are putting on are quite incredible and very infectious.

As I watch their feet slide across the floor so effortlessly, it makes me want to learn how to move like that and how to dance with a partner so flawlessly.

Each pair gets to dance for about 30 seconds and as they finish up their routine, another pair of dancers is ready to get out on the floor and give it all they’ve got.

But let’s not forget about the aspect of dance that is just as important and the moves–the music.

At the Rock That Swing festival, they not only invite the best dancers form around the world, but they also invite the best swing and rock bands from around the world to come and play as well.

According to their website, the festival brings in fifteen of the best swing and rock bands from all over Europe.

They are able to play the type of music that gets these incredible dancers’ feet moving in the right way.

Without the music, you just can’t have the dance.

If you’re interested in learning this style of dance, you can attend the festival by purchasing tickets online.

However, because of COVID, the status of next year’s festival may be uncertain.

And if that’s the case and you aren’t able to go, it shouldn’t stop you from dancing.

You don’t need professional lessons to get those hips of yours moving.

Find some live music and get to grooving on your own!

And if you can’t find any live music, turn up the speakers while your favorite song is on and move your body like no one is watching.
