Christopher Hopkins has performed numerous makeovers that have left us completely amazed. But one thatโs considered very unforgettable is when Susan from Wisconsin walked through his doors.
She traveled with her sister to The Makeover Guyโs salon in Minneapolis seeking a fabulous new look. And oh boy, did Susan ever get one.
It can be easy to get into a rut with your hair if life gets busy. For Susan, she had been wearing the same curly gray hairstyle for quite some time. In her words, it had been for โtoo long.โ
Fortunately, The Makeover Guy and his team of magicians were there to kick her look up a notch!
Before they began, Christopher asked Susan what she was hoping to see after her transformation.
She responded:
โI want fun and fresh, and a little rollick some maybe โ because I like to garden a lot and run around in flowy linens.โ
However, just like with most of us, life isnโt ALL about fun and games. Susan explained how she also worked a consulting job that required her to have a buttoned-up professional look.
For what she didnโt want, she said:
โI would not like to see it looking exactly the same as it does right now.โ
No worries Susan, The Makeover Guy had some ideas. It all started with the change of her hair color. Instead of โsalt and pepper,โ Christopher concluded a โstrawberry-ishโ would look great.
Even before her transformation is complete, thereโs a huge improvement with the switch to red. The celebrity stylist points out that โWe look right at you, we donโt look at your hair.โ
Christopher has many fans of his makeover videos, which he posts on YouTube. Yet, we donโt always get a behind-the-scenes look at how itโs all done.
For Susanโs though, we get to actually see her get glammed up (a little) in the makeup department! After putting on fake eyelashes, the beautician shares an interesting tip.
โWhen you have false eyelashes on you can kind of tell that thereโs a line. So if you take dark shadow and put the dark shadow right along โ itโll make it look smoky but also make it look like itโs natural.โ
But did all the hard work pay off? Oh, yes it did!
After everything was said and done โ Susan looked absolutely gorgeous. Between the hair and makeup, she appeared younger, fresher, and could even be mistaken for a movie star.
People shared their comments online about which Hollywood starlet they think Susan looks like after the reveal. Raquel Welch seemed to be the most popular choice!
Christopher also shared some comments in the YouTube videoโs description. He wrote:
โWhat a blast is Susan? Perfect person for a makeover. Just up for it. I didnโt like the gray on her. She was fine with โwhatever.โ So whatever is what we gave her and you cannot deny she looks radiant. Amy gave her a lovely Red. Kami showed how to do false eyelashes. I reshaped the curls to lift rather than widen the face.โ
Susan felt โwonderfulโ with her new unrecognizable look. She said that their experience was even โbetter times 100โ than they ever imagined.
