The school year has started up once more with schools around the country enjoying homecoming, the big dance that kicks off the school year. But not every school is putting on a full-ensemble Marvel-themed dance.
The PAC Dance Team, along with Advanced Dance from Walden Grove High School in Sahuarita, Arizona, appeared as the entertainment for the schoolโs Marvel-themed homecoming dance.
But they did more than just dance. They put on a full production, complete with scenes from the movies and people dressed as each individual superhero.
The cheering audience was treated to a seven-minute dance and story tribute featuring characters like Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Starlord.
While that was fun, what was really impressive was their insane dance moves.
โUm, as a dance instructor I am insanely inspired and amazed at being able to bring THAT many kids, music, props, themeโฆ omg,โ said one online commenter. โI know how hard that is, I could never pull it off this beautifully. I have chills.โ
But the best part was that Brie Larson โ thatโs right, Captain Marvel herself โ spotted the video and gave the dance teams a shout-out on Twitter.
โHello I have returned to twitter for two seconds to tell you that THIS IS FRICKEN AWESOME,โ said the actress.
The production included a pop dance remix and several popular dances. The crowd watched in awe skillfully combined dance with recreating scenes from the Marvel movies, including conflicts between Thor and Loki, Thanos using the infinity stones, and more.
Sometimes, they just broke it down in the middle of the dance floor to pop songs.
โThis was on fire!โ said one online commenter. โClearly, a school with a great theater department and some insanely talented young people with some awesome dance moves and great imagination! Iโm proud of each and every one you! Simply fun and very fantastic! Thank you, thank you, thank you!โ
The dance number also wrapped up with a special performance by Iron Man, dropping an especially significant line from Avengers: Endgame.
But thatโs a spoiler, so we wonโt give it away.
โTHIS GAVE ME THE CHILLS!โ said one online commenter. โIt was all of this and more: beautiful, accurate, awesome, absolutely solid coordination!!!!!!!!! Literally step for step.
Did I mention how accurate it was??โ
People just couldnโt believe the talent and precision of the dancers, even while wearing their costumes.
They moved in perfect sync, which resulted in an image thatโs just breathtaking. Itโs also pretty interesting to see all our favorite characters, including Spiderman, Doctor Strange, and the Hulk, break it down together on the dance floor.
โThat was phenomenal!โ said an online commenter. โWhat a great dance team! Iโm certain the cast of these beloved films would be moved by this.โ
If Brie Larson is any indication, the Marvel cast would indeed love this dance tribute. Thereโs a good reason why itโs racked up more than three million views.
