Teenagers are so silly, arenโt they? You can always count on them to be doing something a little bit out of the ordinary.
Usually, when youโre a teenager in middle school or high school and you participate in a talent show, itโs something that you will probably be embarrassed to look back on when you grow older. Itโs not that you should feel embarrassed, but thatโs just naturally how people tend to feel.
If you looked back at your 10-year-old self, who was performing an angsty Avril Lavigne song to a ton of classmates, how would you feel? You would probably feel a little bit silly even though itโs cute!
Well these students took their talent show performance to a whole new level a few years ago and it is safe to say that they will probably laugh a lot when they look back at it.
Or maybe they wonโt be embarrassed at all because you canโt even see their facesโฆ
This group of teen boys or girls (who knows?) decided to attend their schoolโs talent show in some very interesting costumes. They were all wearing sacks. Yep, sacks.
Each โsackโ is a different color and together, they made a beautiful rainbow.
As they wore these rainbow sacks with the utmost confidence, they decided to dance around the stage and lip sync to a handful of popular songs (can we even call it a lip sync if we canโt see their mouths?!).
They kick off their performance with the popular โMacarenaโ by Los Del Rio and Andre Rieu, before quickly diving into โWrecking Ballโ by Miley Cyrus. When Cyrus sings that she โcame in like a wrecking ballโ in the chorus, two members stand on each side while the fifth member rolls in the center, making it look as if they are the wrecking ball.
So fascinating. So creative and strange.
What really makes this such a nice performance for the group is that they truly seem to be enjoying themselves. They are letting go and doing every dance move without a single care in the world and honestly, itโs quite liberating!
After โWrecking Ball,โ they break into an explosive dance to the viral hit, โWhat Does The Fox Say?โ Itโs naturally a hilarious song on its own so when paired with these dancing sacks, it definitely makes for comedic success.
They curated a pretty great mix of music if you ask us.
Several other songs make an appearance during this five minute performance โ classical songs, Psyโs โGangnam Style,โ Sir Mix Alotโs โBaby Got Back,โ Queenโs classic โBohemian Rhapsody,โ and Beyonceโs โSingle Ladies.โ
While it looks like they are just being silly, they really did plan out all of their moves and put a lot of effort into it! Everyone in the group is dancing together and there are tons of choreographed moments that are super funny.
The audience continues to laugh throughout the show too. All in all, this is a ten out of ten show.
