Being a major travel destination, London receives an average of 30 million visitors each year. And they spend around £15 million a year when they’re in London.
No wonder buskers (or street performers) can be found everywhere the tourists can be found.
Some of these buskers display their musical abilities by playing instruments, singing, or dancing. Some dress up in different costumes and entertain the crowd. Some perform circus acts.
And some do whatever they can to entertain the crowd and earn their pay.
There have been complaints about buskers, that’s why buskers still need to apply for a license or permit to busk in London. Some complaints include leaving their mess in public property, being a nuisance to the businesses in the area, and the lack of crowd control in the public areas and pose as a safety risk.
But there are some buskers who follow the rules of busking in London and still able to entertain the crowd and the tourists.
These street performers near South Bank have enough space around them and far enough from businesses so they can’t create a disturbance.
And it’s good that they have this space for their performance because their group performs all kinds of acrobatics and dance act and physical activities to entertain.
And it looks like they love to grab volunteers from the crowd to join them during their acts.
This time, they invited a young girl from Sweden to join their performance. One of the buskers challenged her to do whatever he did, which the young girl agreed to do.
He started with an easy task, push-ups. Or so it seemed.
If you’re like most people, then doing push-ups can be a challenge. But not for this little girl. She did it easily, just like that! Looks like this busker chose the right person for his challenge.
What’s next?
The busker then positioned himself to do a cartwheel, which he landed successfully. Can the young girl do the same?
Well, it looks like he picked a young gymnast, too, because she proceeded to do several cartwheels. Everybody in the audience cheered. They were loving it!
And you know who else was loving this?
Yes, this young Swedish girl was loving every minute of her time with them. And she especially loved it when they surprised her by including her in an acrobatic act.
When they asked her to lift her arms up in the air, people had no idea what was going to happen next.
Then one of the people in the group jumped onto the shoulders of his teammate. He grabbed the young girl’s hand and the performer at the bottom held on to the young girl’s waist. They twirled around with the young girl in mid-air.
This young girl couldn’t believe what was happening and she had a big smile on her face!
She went back to her mom, who had captured what happened with her camera, with a big smile on her face. Who knew, when they planned the trip to visit London, they’d have the chance to experience such a fun time?
It’s going to be such a great story to tell her friends when they go back home as she earned internet fame gaining over 11 million views with their face-off.
