If you thought there’s no Santa Claus, then you’re wrong. Of course, Santa exists and so do his helpers.
Only, they are not green- and red-clad, they don’t live on the North Pole, and they don’t necessarily wear pointy hats.
However, they still have the talent and mission to deliver Santa’s presents to children all over the world.
In fact, anyone can be Santa’s helper; they only need to have a big heart and be willing to make others happy.
A man from Shreveport, LA, decided that the role of Santa’s helper would be perfect for him. What made him consider the “job” was actually a letter he found attached to a balloon.
It all started at Christmas 2020, when a set of 4-year-old twins living in Kansas wrote letters to Santa, tied them to red balloons, and let them go.
Although their mother knew it was something like a message in a bottle, she encouraged her daughters to let their balloons fly in the air in hopes that they would reach Santa.
“It was a windy day, and I just thought it was going to get lost, get caught up in a tree,” Leticia Flores- Gonzalez, the girls’ mother, told Good Morning America.
And, while one of the balloons did indeed get lost, the other one reached its destination.
It flew all the way to Louisiana, where Alvin Bamburg found it. The man had no idea what the balloon could be bringing with it, but when he read the letter, he decided that he just had to do something.
So, he took over from there. Just like any Santa’s helper would do, he prepared to deliver the presents to the sweet girl.
But, in order to do so, he had to find them. So, he went online and, after some serious research, he tracked down the family.
After contacting the mother, they reached out to family and friends in order to collect all the presents that the girl had asked for.
And they managed to package most of them and send them to the family.
Although the girls were delighted to get their precious presents, one was missing. Luna had also asked for a puppy, but there was no puppy in the package they received.
This was Alvin’s last and biggest surprise. He got a puppy and drove all the way to the girls’ home, about 600 miles away, to deliver the last but greatest gift ever.
When the girls saw the man arriving with a dog in his arms, they couldn’t hide their excitement. They were so grateful to Santa’s helper Alvin for all the gifts he had brought to them, but most of all for the puppy.
“We are very blessed. Thank you for making my girls so happy,” Leticia, who couldn’t hold back her tears, said.
As the man explained, delivering the gifts to the girls didn’t only make them happy, but him, too.
“If you can make just one person smile, not only will it help them, it will make you feel so much better.”
