Stephanie from Seattle may be 59-years-old, but she certainly doesnโt feel like it. In fact, she only feels about 45 on the inside (which is all that matters, right?).
What the mom needed before her milestone birthday was a little help on the outside to match her inner youth. So, when the opportunity presented itself that sheโd be in Minneapolis where The Makeover Guyโs salon is โ Stephanie decided to treat herself to an appointment.
Itโs a transformation that brought her to tears.
Getting older is a part of life thatโs not easy for everyone. However, some of us choose to think about it a little differently reminding ourselves that โage is only a numberโ and โyouโre only as old as you feel.โ
That doesnโt mean though that we canโt embrace a good old-fashioned makeover!
Stephanieโs been a fan of Christopher Hopkins since reading his book several years ago. For more than a decade his best-seller, Staging Your Comeback: A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45, has been helping women gain confidence by providing tips and tricks.
According to Christopher, Stephanie just wanted to โfeel pretty again.โ She was definitely in the right place.
The Makeover Guy started being recognized in 1990 for his stunning (and televised) beauty transformations โ and continues to be applauded today. He shares videos on YouTube that make your jaw drop all while lifting the soul.
Christopherโs talents donโt stop there. On top of being an author, heโs also a musician that according to his channel, โreceived standing ovations with the worldโs finest orchestras singing Broadway best baritone showstoppers.โ
It was finally Stephanieโs turn to shine. Fortunately for Christopher, she was open for anything he thought would look the best.
Mom Stephanie was close to turning the big โ6-0.โ Yet, she walked into the salon looking pretty good for her age already. It was anybodyโs guess what Christopher had up his sleeveโฆ
In the end, Stephanieโs reveal is so striking that her eyes well up with tears. Not only does she look younger, she felt pretty again!
โIโm very happyโฆ It just fulfilled all my expectations, and Iโm going to cry and mess up my make-up, but everything that I wanted happened.โ
She continued:
โI just feel like a prettier version of who I am and I really appreciate everybody.โ
One very important thing Stephanie had to do after the makeover was Facetime her daughter. Sheโd received many texts from her during the day because naturally, she was curious to see the new look too!
During the call, Stephanieโs daughter was blown away by her momโs gorgeous transformation. Her hair and makeup really brightened her up all the way around โ itโs like looking at a different person.
Christopherโs followers also loved the younger and fresh looking Stephanie. One woman shared:
โWow! You look 20 years younger. Gorgeous! Go out and have some fun! Christopher is absolutely an artist with a great personality.โ
Another commenter pointed out:
โItโs more than words can express when we can say, โI feel pretty!โ She does indeed look pretty! The change is as much internal as it is external!โ
Some even thought the mom now resembled a famous celebrity.
โShe was pretty in the beginning, but her makeover amped up! She looks stunning, and to me a little like Sheryl Crow. Really great makeover.โ
