2020 isn’t an ideal year for most of us. With all the chaos and worries that it has brought – it undoubtedly made us a bit hopeless of many things including kindness.
But there are people who will restore your faith in humanity.
Meet Ty Burningham.
He is an amazing guy who’s the best when it comes to boosting community morale. Every place in the world needs someone like him.
His radiant personality also makes everyone loves him.
Ty, who has special needs, just knows how to uplift other people. His mother even shared that he’s like the Mayor of Davis County. He always goes outside to meet new people.
He’s always with his best friend – which is his scooter.
He loves scooting around but there’s one problem with it. His scooter is no longer in good condition.
Some teens from Davis High School knew about this problem.
As they’re friends with Ty, they knew that he needed a new scooter whenever he roams around.
So, they made his 25th birthday special.
They just love him and they wanted to make him happy. They even shared how they worked on their surprise for him. They all contributed to it.
“You know, just all of us combined, we just pitched in $10. It’s not that big, but Ty, we just love him.”
With the money that they collected, they had managed to purchase a new scooter for him.
Of course, they also made the moment special for him. They blindfolded him and happily showed him his present! The teens also made sure to record the happy moment.
When Ty finally saw it, his reaction was priceless.
He joyfully said, “oh sweet”.
His astonished face says it all and it’s heartwarming.
One of the teens made sure to show Ty how to use the scooter which made him amazed and really happy. He informed him that he didn’t have to push it so much, unlike his old scooter.
One of them said, “We turned it on for him and he zipped up the street. We were worried he wasn’t going to come back!”
Ty couldn’t help but say “sweet” multiple times. Clearly, he was over the moon.
He even asked them an adorable question.
“You guys can’t take it – it’s mine now, right?”
Well, it looks like he just wanted to make sure! Another thing is you would really feel his grateful heart. You can see it in the genuine smile on his face.
It’s also uplifting to see him happy. We can’t deny that he deserves it! The way he makes other people happy is incomparable! Of course, the teens’ kindness is beyond impressive. It can touch many hearts.
Aside from that, Ty’s friendship with them is so precious. It reminds us to value the right things especially with the kind of situation that we are in right now. One of these is maintaining relationships with the right people like our family and friends.
The people who genuinely love us deserve our love, time, and loyalty.
