Now this is something that’s worth the time to watch. Sondre Olsen-Bye and Tanya Georgiievska once again setting the dance floor on fire with a Boogie Woogie routine that’s gotten them first place. These two have competed all over Europe and across the seas in dance competitions and have taken home many championships and awards.
This one was at the Boogie Woogie Main Class Nordic Championship in Helsingborg, Sweden.
What stands out about these two is that those smiles are genuine and you can see how much they love dancing and performing. As a matter of fact, it’s been their whole lives.
Sondre was born in Norway while Tanya is from the Ukraine in Kiev. He started dancing at five and she at four. This amazing duo started dancing together in 2015 and have been teaching, competing, and performing all over the globe. Awesome way to travel.
This Swing dance and Boogie Woogie couple move unlike any other as you will see. They are a popular team and being an actual couple adds to their charm too. They do look good together.
The dance has barely begun and already Tanya is jumping around and smiling at the crowd. If you’re a looker, use it to your advantage. Wonder how many women Sondre has to chase away…
Or maybe he doesn’t have to. He looks great in his dancing suit and he has that devilish grin on his handsome face.
Well they both begin by simultaneously playing an imaginary piano. They press those invisible keys along to the melody and even cross over each others arms in an attempt to outdo each other. It’s so cute.
Tanya, hands on her hips, lets her man get away with the piano playing. What’s a girl to do? Well she goes for the drums! That’s one way of avoiding an argument.
And as if a bolt of lightning struck these lovers, they just suddenly hold hands and explode in a high-energy dance with stunning footwork. They step and kick to the beat and the horns while flashing those lovely smiles for the crowd and the cameras. Well played!
They’re not on fast forward if that’s what you’re thinking. And you’d be forgiven for thinking so because they are amazingly quick on their fit.
Tanya even gives a sudden kick and Sondre with his mutant quick reflexes dips and spins to avoid her long leg. They certainly know when and where to give those smiles. They pause for a bit and have a “I can kick better” routine.
These two aren’t human. That backflip Sondre does off of Tanya’s hands? That’s not easy. At all.
Then Tanya jumps on to Sondre’s arms and he tilts her upside down, through his legs and back, and through is legs again, then she stands just to do a cartwheel. All of this happened to the beat. And still wearing those fantastic smiles. Such showmanship!
“I love you! I love you just the same!”
Goes Liam Green in his song “Beebop stylish”. It does suit these two as they kick and step across the floor. No wonder Sondre and Tanya keep winning. They’re going to need a bigger trophy room.
Sondre and Tanya are brilliant to watch and you can catch your jaw when you watch below.
