But for Army Ranger Lieutenant Colonel Robert Rizden, a routine visit to Taco Bell turned into an unforgettable act of kindness.

While ordering his dinner, Lt. Col. Rizden’s attention was drawn to two young boys, aged 9 and 13, who were selling homemade desserts to the patrons.

Their goal was simple yet admirable: to raise funds for their local church.

Rizden noticed something beyond their entrepreneurial spirit; the boys looked cold and hungry.

Concerned, he approached them to inquire about their day and whether they had eaten. Their response was a disheartening “no.”

Without cash on hand, Rizden found another way to help.

He led the boys to the front and encouraged them to order whatever they fancied, assuring them he would pay.

Initially taken aback, the boys soon made their choices, their faces lighting up with joy.

The scene was heartwarming: the younger boy danced around happily, while the older one chatted with Rizden.
