The slow cooker isn’t just meant for soup and meat. While it’s certainly good for those, your slow cooker is far more versatile than you would expect.
Take the pizza recipe below as an example. Using just three ingredients, you can make a delicious, cheesy pizza right at home that your kids will love. It’s cheaper than store-bought pizza, and it tastes far better!
Best of all, it takes just 5-10 minutes of prep.

Ingredients:
Prepared pizza dough
Pizza sauce
Shredded cheese
Toppings of your choice
Directions
First, oil the base of your slow cooker and use parchment paper to make a cross.
Shape the pizza dough in the bottom of the slow cooker. Try to cover the entire base of the cooker. If the dough is too big for the cooker, layer the ends on top of each other to form a bigger crust.
Spread your pizza sauce on top. Then sprinkle cheese on top as well as your favorite pizza toppings.
Cook on high for 1.5 hours. Remove it from the slow cooker and enjoy!
The next recipe Mandy shares is Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs.
The ingredients for this dish include chicken thighs, chicken broth, lemon zest and juice, Italian herb seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, garlic cloves, and butter.
Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot, mix the chicken broth with lemon zest and juice, and pour it over the chicken.
Season with the herbs and spices, then top with minced garlic and butter pats.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
Mandy recommends serving the chicken with rice and side salads made with fresh lettuce from the garden, garnished with parsley.
A viewer said, “When I showed you the stove and I showed that I was making green beans, why did you not tell me hey Mandy, you need to start the potato?”
