The internet is flooded with adorable babies and all the cute things they do. Some are over-the-top funny. But once in a while, it’s a simple video, one that’s pure, that captures the most attention. That’s what happened when a mom uploaded one of her daughter fighting to stay asleep.

The most precious face

Rather than something flashy and vibrant, this particular video begins with a gorgeous little girl. She’s sound asleep. In fact, she’s so peaceful that you almost feel yourself becoming tired as well.

The beauty of sleep

If you’re a parent, you’ve likely spent a lot of time just watching your infant sleep. There’s something so captivating about them even though they’re not doing anything special. You walk around quietly to make sure they don’t wake up. In some ways, you might feel a little envious that they can nap so easily.

An amazing closeup

One of the many things that makes this video so special is that the mom shot it close to her daughter’s face. That allows you to see just how perfect she is. Everything about her is beyond precious.

Waking up

Although this baby is sound asleep, she must feel her mom’s presence because all of a sudden, she wakes up…well, sort of. Her eyes are still half-closed. She’s trying hard to open them but she’s struggling.

“Hey Mom”

With everything she has, which isn’t much for a tiny baby, she opens her eyes wider. She almost sits up but not quite. Then, she gives her mom the most beautiful smile. We can only imagine how this mom’s heart melted.

Nope…not yet

For a split second, it appears as though she’s going to wake up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But that’s not what happened. Instead, her sleepiness took over and that was it. She’s again down for the count. But that smile never leaves her face.

She’s so angelic

With her head on the pillow, her eyes closed, and still smiling, she looks like a little angel. Of course, that cute ponytail on top of her head only adds to her overall cuteness.

She’s trying so hard

She falls asleep only to jerk herself awake. At that point, she raises her head and again, looking right at her mom, smiles big and bright. Now you can hear her make a few little sounds. But as bad as she wants to wake up, her body keeps telling her no.

Switching sides

This adorable baby then flops over so her head is on the other side of the bed. You think this time, she’s going to wake up. But then, she’s out. How this mother avoided saying anything is beyond us. Perhaps she’s just so mesmerized by her daughter.

A repeat performance

Throughout this two-minute video, this baby keeps doing the same things repeatedly. She wakes up, smiles, flips over, goes to sleep, and then starts it all over again. The funny thing is that when her head hits the pillow each time, she’s immediately asleep. There’s no lingering at all.

Such a joy

Having the opportunity to videotape a simple moment in her daughter’s life is wonderful. This is something the mom can watch whenever she wants. And when her daughter’s old enough, she can share it with her.
