Ask any parent about their favorite baby memories, and you’re almost guaranteed to hear one cute story or another. But for the father in this adorable video, that precious memory starts with a very good morning.
Say Hi
The video opens with a shot of a cute little baby lying in bed. The child is sleeping the day away enjoying the warmth of their parent’s home. If babies dream, we can only imagine the happy thoughts that are tumbling through this peaceful child’s mind.
The camera zooms in taking in every detail of the child’s face. There’s a moment of peace that you’re sure to feel, especially if you’ve ever had the pleasure of watching a slumbering, sleepy, baby.
Then the baby wakes up, almost as if they can sense being on camera. They stretch their arms, rub their eyes, and give the softest yawn before opening their eyes. You can almost see the curiosity in the child’s expression as they look around the room taking in their surroundings.
There’s a moment when the child is distressed. They start to cry, perhaps wondering where mommy and daddy have gone off to. But don’t worry if you don’t like hearing baby cries, because the moment doesn’t last long.

The baby then points a tiny finger at him. There’s an understanding in the child’s expression that almost says, “I know you”. The fit from moments ago is long gone, because the child recognizes her dad and feels comfortable and safe.
The father says “Love you” and the child’s face lights up with a sweet soft smile. They giggle and laugh in between rubbing their eyes and stretching to wake up. We can only imagine that the baby is trying to hurry themselves to fully awake so they can enjoy every moment with dear ol’ dad. The video ends on this cute note.

This video isn’t just a heartwarming reminder that fathers matter to their babies. It’s also proof that fathers make a very real impact on their children’s lives.
Did you notice how the babies eyes lit up when she heard her father’s voice? Some articles talk about how babies can hear and recognize their father’s voice as early as after 24 weeks during pregnancy. We can only imagine how much loving care this father showed to their child during the early parts of their life.
What about the baby’s silent pointing to acknowledge recognition? This could be baby’s first steps towards communication and understanding. By responding to the baby’s pointing, her father is helping enhance the child’s ability to learn.
It’s amazing to think that something as small as saying hello, could have such a big impact. But the beauty and magic of babies is how they can make even the smallest things seem so very magical.
