I can tell you firsthand that growing up as the only girl in the family comes with its trials and tribulations. It can sometimes be a struggle to find your place and identity in all the of the hubbub of video games and all of the friends of the brothers around the house all the time.
But, it also has its advantages.
Even if brothers and sisters don’t always get along, they’re always there for each other when they need it.
Brothers, especially older brothers, can be very protective of their sisters. Older siblings become babysitters, and sometimes even take on a secondary parenting role, depending on the household. Older siblings make a lot of sacrifices for their younger siblings.
That’s why the little girl in this video is incredibly lucky. She not only has one, not two, but three older brothers that will be looking out for her every single step of the way. If anyone ever breaks her heart, there will be a steep price to pay, that’s for darn sure.
It also means that when this little girl, named by the poster only as “Little Sister,” wants to dance, she’s got some partners at the ready!
She starts off with her long locks covering her face. It’s a little reminiscent of a certain scary movie for a moment, but soon enough, as the music picks up, she dramatically whips it all back in place to show her adorable face.
She breaks a few moves as a solo, doing remarkably well for someone of her age.
Then, right out of left field, the youngest brother hops out to join the dance in unison. Then another, and, finally, the eldest of the crew joins in to complete the perfectly diagonal formation.
There are few things more touching than when a family’s love for each other shows through in their everyday lives. This is just a regular afternoon or evening goofing around in the living room, but you can tell that it’s not an odd occurrence in this home. It makes me wonder what else these four get up to on the daily basis? I bet they’d make a great family band. Heck, they could even throw in some choreography.
The best part of the whole charade is when they all break off from the routine and add their individual personalities into the mix. That’s when you can tell that the oldest brother is most likely the jokester of the group, followed by a close second by the middle brother.
The little sister seems to be the one most caught up with pop culture, as she does that move that very few people can master. It looks like she’s got some real star potential!
Did you ever do anything like this with your siblings when you grew up? It’s so important for kids to use their imaginations and their bodies to have fun away from electronics and other gizmos and gadgets. Whether it’s busting a move, climbing a tree, playing pirates on the playground, or just taking turns pushing each other on a swing, these are the times that will really bond kids as a family.
