As a performer, the idea is to be memorable enough for people to not only remember you but to actually become fans who buy your music or products. It’s a rough trade to pursue with doors constantly shutting in your face.
This contestant on the X Factor UK, got a good old tongue lashing from Simon Cowell about being “too nice”. So how did she respond to Simon? She gave him the “nasty” performance of a lifetime that will blow your mind.
This X-Factor UK hopeful uses Simon’s words as inspiration and gives the performance of a lifetime.
37-year-old Boopsi Brown is a professional singer from London who was in the middle of singing the Beatles toon “All My Lovin” when Simon Cowell put his hand up abruptly stopping the music.
“Boopsi, you know what, the song choice is horrific. I don’t think you’ve come here tonight going, you know what 37 years old, years of experience, im gonna kill this audition….and i think its because you’re too nice.” Said Cowell.
She rose to the challenge and left Simon speechless. This performance is amazing!
After the harsh critique from Simon, in her own words, Boopsi got “nasty”. She said:
“Do you know what Simon, if you want nasty, I’ll do that right now. You know what, let’s stop the talking, I’m gonna get nasty now.”
This time when the music dropped it was B.B King’s “Rock Me Baby”, it was like a whole new Boopsi emerged. This Boopsi was far more aggressive, in your face, and downright”nasty”, the good kind of nasty.
Thanks to Simon and his harsh words, the 37-year-old singer stunned the judges’ with a drop dropping performance.
Boopsi owned the stage, she then walked down off the stage to the judges’ table and the real show began. You could see the excitement on Simon Cowells face as she sat on his lap, shook her chest in his face and continued to cover “Rock Me Baby” flawlessly.
The crowd went wild, they couldn’t get enough of Boopsi Brown! Just when it seemed like she couldn’t get any better, she did something that I don’t think I’ve ever seen on the X-Factor before. Scroll down to see what she did!
She climbed onto the judges’ table and sensually crawled across it to where Simon sits.
The 37-year-old professional singer literally got onto the judges’ table and crawled across while simultaneously singing and not missing a beat!
She wasn’t done yet, the last incredible thing Boopsi did was dropping down into a full split, all with the microphone still in hand and the tune still pouring out. She went from a shy Boopsi with a cute fedora, to a fierce Boopsi on a mission! After her performance, one of the judges explained to her that she had just got “Cowell’d” saying:
“Do you know what happened and everybody just witnessed in real life? You just got Cowell’d. Thats what he does, thats why he gets the big bucks. He see’s the potential in people and he brings it out of ya.” Talking about Simon Cowell.
