Simone Biles is a multi-gold medal-winning Olympian. At just 22, Biles recently became the most decorated American gymnast of all time, winning her 24th and 25th world medals at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany.
Now, she’s earned not only the most World gold medals of any gymnast, male or female, she’s also the female gymnast with the most World all-around titles (5 total). She’s also the first American gymnast to win a World medal in every gymnastics event.
Even the legendary Mary Lou Retton called her the “greatest gymnast ever”!
And those are just her major accomplishments!
The wildly talented gymnast seems to be rocking it in her personal life too. Her boyfriend – acrobat and fitness coach Stacey Ervin Jr. – is her biggest fan. In fact, he’s making headlines for his enthusiastic response to her most recent accomplishments.
So, basically Simone Biles is at the top of her game, recognized as the best that’s ever been in her field, and found a great boyfriend. Damn, girl!
Fans around the world got a taste of Biles’ good life on October 10th when Ervin Jr. posted a video of himself watching her performance on social media. While he was bummed he couldn’t be there by her side IRL (but let’s face it, sometimes that’s distracting), he was glued to his flat screen.
In posts on Twitter and Instagram, he can be seen from behind watching on and cheering for her floor routine – and enthusiastically doesn’t even begin to describe his response to her performance.
“C’mon, babe,” he says as she finishes.
Then things get louder as he shouts: “C’mon, C’mon, C’mon! Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go!”
When she nails the end, he’s jumping and fist-bumping and yelling “Yes! That’s what I’m talking about!”
His excitement is infectious and the video has made hundreds of thousands (if not more!) people around the world smile – not just for his antics but because it’s awesome to see a man so stoked for the success of his partner.
On Twitter, he wrote that he could hardly contain himself – and that much seems true!
His Instagram post is a photo of Biles standing triumphantly atop the podium with her gold medal followed by the video (if you click the arrow) of his reaction. He captioned it:
“MY WOMAN IS A 5x WORLD CHAMPION IN THE ALL-AROUND & I COULDN’T BE MORE PROUD.
I get hyped every time I watch her do her thing & today was no exception. Congratulations, babe! The whole world is proud of you!”
Biles replied in the comments:
“My mans. Can’t wait to give you the biggest smooch ever! thanks for your endless support babe. i love you with my whole heart.”
That’s #couplegoals for sure.
