Every decade has itโs own style and back in the 1920โs the flapper dress and swing were all the rage.
In fact, in the 1920s The Swing was born.
The dance proved to be a hit, sweeping through the 1930s and 1940s in clubs, streets, and dance contests.
It had a lot of physical vigor while maintaining a smoothness to it which meant dancers had to have excellent body control.
Fast forward to today and the Swing is still very much alive thanks to active dancers and groups who have passed on the art to their kids.
Like these two.
Jack and Jasmine Willis, dancing in the 6-13 Young America category are unbelievable.
If the last name strikes a chord, then you probably know the Willis clan.
They are a ridiculously talented bunch. All in the blood.
And the song they chose to dance to?
Thatโs big sister singing with the others playing the instruments.
No, really. This family is really popular.
Skills and good looks all in one clan?
Absolutely.
Yes please.
Now we doubt youโve seen kids dance quite like this.
Very jazzy, hearkening back to the days of the big band era. When men and women dressed sharply, the nights were young, and the dancing alive.

Jack is smooth.
So smooth he looks like heโs gliding on butter.
And Jasmine, goodness, this little lady can twirl!

The Swing is a lively, social dance with a lot of spins.
It is a very cool and hip dance form loved by many ages.
Jack and Jasmineโs are a slower paced form as compared to the usual high energy party style commonly associated with the dance.
But hey, look at these two tear up that dance floor.

She can strut, spin, and split with the best of them all while Jack does his cool, macho part.

As the performance goes on, the routine seems to get more complicated and fascinating.
A combination of fancy footwork, throw in a few spins and dips in there, and they got themselves a very wide eyed audience.
Pure talent.

A thunderous and boisterous standing ovation for Jack and Jasmine.
Ladies and gentlemen, thatโs how you steal a show.
Like the old saying goes, age does not matter.
Pity the next couple dancing after them thoughโฆ But hey.
The show must go on.
