This has been a challenging year for everyone, no matter what kind of situation they are in. It has been especially hard for children, who have felt confused and sad as they’ve had to adjust to new social and educational situations.
So now that the holidays are around the corner, this might just feel like another thing that has changed. It’s probably going to be hard and confusing for a lot of children.
And this is the greatest time of the year for most kids, so all they will want to do is play with toys, see family, and hear from Santa.
Because of all this, Momento Smart Connect recently shared a video message from Santa himself.
“Well hello there, my friend. It’s me, Santa. I wanted to send you an extra special message to let you know that we’re all here at the North Pole and thinking of you,” the white-bearded man says at the beginning of the video.
“I know this year had a lot of challenges. There were a lot of changes. And sometimes that wasn’t always easy. But I’ve been watching over you and I can see how hard you’ve worked to keep hope. When things were tough, you tried and tried again,” he added.
Maybe it seems silly, but this is a message that can and will have a positive impact on a lot of the children watching.
Getting a little bit of positive reassurance from the big man himself is what the children need. Maybe they haven’t heard this message enough, or maybe they won’t truly believe it until it comes from Santa.
“I want you to know that there’s always hope, and a lot of beauty and love in the world. Just look around. What can you see? I want you to remember that any time you feel down, to remember that you are loved,” Santa says.
“Look inside your heart and always remember that you have the magic within you to do good,” he continues.
After that, Santa goes on to ask the children listening to think of a time this year when they helped someone out. He adds that maybe someone helped them, when they needed it. He explains that in that moment, that was love.
Even though this year has brought an overwhelming amount of change and challenges, love always remained. We could still always count on our loved ones to help us when we need it, and we could always do the same for others.
It’s a great message for children.
“It’s important now, more than ever, to keep love and kindness in your heart. Live life with all that you can be and put your best foot forward. I hope you know that there is a very special reason why you’re in this world, and you make it a better place, just by being here,” Santa says.
He adds, “Remember that, and keep that magic in your heart no matter where you go.”
Then, he goes on to say that he must get back to work so that he can ensure another very special Christmas. “I will work hard just like you and never give up, even when there are big challenges ahead,” he promises.
