The stereotype around both modeling and acting is that these are a young person’s game. According to conventional wisdom, to excel at modeling you should be young, tall, skinny, beautiful and so on. There’s the obvious problem that many of these qualities can be combined in many different ways and there is no one “true” type of model. Still, it often takes time for these ideas to become widely adopted and accepted. One Russian modeling agency called Oldushka set out to show the fashion industry that people of all ages are still beautiful by hiring only models ages 45 and up—sometimes up to even 85 years old.
