No matter what country youโ€™re in, if you decide to join the army, youโ€™re required to have discipline, focus, and commitment. And if you happen to join Thailandโ€™s naval force, you will also need to have some serious moves.

At the start of the performance, they were doing a simple march to the song Itโ€™s A Small World. At that point, you might think that itโ€™s just like any other drill.

Suddenly, the music changed!

Europeโ€™s The Final Countdown started playing and thatโ€™s when the teamโ€™s really serious synchronized moves started. Each person in the team delivered his part perfectly.

In fact, you wonโ€™t be able to find any weak link in their line. Every movement was spot on. There was no glitch and none of them was a beat late.

They were moving in wave-like movements that are similar to how a caterpillar moves. The performance was so mesmerizing that you wouldnโ€™t think that members of the Thai Navy were delivering it.

The drill teamโ€™s choice of song is quite amusing, too. This 1986 song was originally made to be an opener for a concert. However, upon its release, it was able to reach the number spot in 25 different countries. The song has become so popular that it became a staple of school bands. Itโ€™s also often played at sporting events and rally crowds. The song has also been featured in the boxing sports drama film Rocky IV.

The Royal Thai Navy is Thailandโ€™s naval force.

Itโ€™s considered as a part of the Royal Thai Armed Forces which was established sometime in the 19th century. If you take a closer look at its organization structure, youโ€™ll find that itโ€™s somewhat similar to the United States.

The country honors the Royal Thai Armed Forces every January. They observe it on the same day its King Naresuan won the Elephant Battle. Military parades are held in different parts of Thailand but the main celebrations are usually held in Bangkok.

Seeing the military perform such marvelous drills is quite refreshing. These days, people feel uncomfortable being around military men in fear of the hostility thatโ€™s linked to their line of work. With news of countries fighting each other, itโ€™s not really surprising.

Being a member of the drill team isnโ€™t that easy. Youโ€™ll have to dedicate tons of hours in memorizing and perfecting the moves. You need to be patient, focused, and committed so youโ€™ll be able to deliver whatโ€™s expected from you. Plus, thereโ€™s the pressure of making a mistake during the actual performance.

Armed Forces Day is no regular day. Itโ€™s really symbolic and special so the pressure of delivering a perfect and flawless performance is high. Plus, there are lots of people watching the event, too.
