A dancer stunned judges and the audience at the Las Vegas World of Dance Championships with his brilliantly realistic robot choreography.

Performer Dushaunt Fik-Shun Stegall, known simply as Fik-Shun in the competition, seems to defy all laws of physics with his body-popping moves, twitching and rolling specific parts of his body while keeping everything else perfectly still.

Over a four-minute period, Fik-Shun quickly gets the audience on his side.

Right away, his sense of confidence was evoking whoops and cheers. Before long, he pulls off his wacky, weird and wonderful moves. Robotic choreography is a particularly difficult form of street dance that involves quickly contracting and relaxing your muscles to the beat of a song. Fik-Shun clearly knows what he’s doing with the dance, and he pulls it off impeccably.

One viewer commented that it looked as if he was “a robot trying to be human”—and we certainly agree!

At one point, Fik-Shun rotates 90 degrees without moving anything except his left hand.

He regularly stops on the spot to vibrate his entire body like, as another viewer commented, “a mobile phone.” He also rolls his body to create a ripple-like effect from head-to-toe.

What tops off this fantastic performance is that throughout the entire duration of the song, Fik-Shun’s shoelaces are untied. We don’t know whether this was intentional or not—but of course, he’s smooth enough to never trip over them!

Unsurprisingly, the video of Fik-Shun’s impressive robot-style dancing has earned him a slice of internet fame.

With 99,172,006 views (and counting) of his performance, Fik-Shun is quite deservedly a YouTube viral sensation!

So, who is Fik-Shun, and what should we know about him?

The 25-year old dancer and actor was already well-known in the dance industry before entering the World of Dance Championships in 2014. While growing up in Kansas, he started dancing very young, at the early age of five. Bless!

Fik-Shun might not have won the Championships, but he went onto make a name of himself around the world.

He appeared on Season 10 of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, and was the male winner of America’s favorite dancer. Maybe his cheeky grin and funny facial expressions had something to do with it!

Now traveling all over the world as a guest performing shows and teaching classes, Fik-Shun is certainly keeping busy!

He’s even featured on The Ellen Show and has appeared on the front cover of Dance Spirit magazine.

He’s earned quite a fan base online, with an impressive following of more than 1.7 million on Instagram. He’s currently living his best life in L.A.

If you want to try out some of Fik-Shun’s moves yourself, you’ll need to put in plenty of practice. It can take years to become an expert at body popping, and you will have to start with the very basics. Fik-Shun himself credits his martial arts training for helping him to learn new moves with discipline.
