When a man loves a woman, he will do anything to see her smile. The only catch is, he’s got to have deep pockets. Really deep pockets.
I’m sure you’ve got tons of jokes already in your mind but this short story below has a man making a woman happy. After all, for relationships to work, there has to be give and take. Mostly give for men.
What’s the catch, you ask? You’ll see.
Several men were in the locker room of the gym when a cell phone on a bench rang and a man put it on speaker and begins to talk.
Everyone in the room stopped to listen.
Man: Hello!
Woman: Hi honey, its me. Are you at the club?
Man: Yes.
Woman: I’m at the shops now and found this beautiful leather coat. Its only $2000: is it OK if I buy it?
Man: Sure, go ahead if you like that much.
Woman: I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and saw the new models. I saw one that I really liked.
Man: How much?
Woman: $90,000
Man: OK, but for that price I want it with all options.
Woman: Great! Oh, and one more thing. I was just talking to Jane and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on market. They are asking $980,000 for it.
Man: Well, then go ahead and offer $900,000. They’ll probably take it. If not, we can go to the extra $80,000 if that’s what you really want.
Woman: OK. See you later! I love you too much!
Man: Bye, I love you too.
The man hung up. The other men in the locker room were staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open.
He turned and asked: Anyone knows whose phone is this?
That’s one happy wife!
Even though she’s not his. That woman’s husband must have turned a very bad shade of pale when he got home.
As for the man who answered the phone, who knows why he did it?
Making another woman happy at the expense of another man doesn’t sound right but that’s what he did. And if he did it to help a fellow husband, then he wasn’t thinking things through.
A leather coat, a luxury car, and a house. Thousands of hard earned American dollars gone in one phone call.
That woman certainly knows how to spend her man’s hard earned cash. It even sounds like she’s actually used to calling her real husband when she intends to spend!
Now let me tell you from experience that a men’s locker room is another place where guys subtly eye one another. Build, clothes, shoes, and even car keys are scrutinized in a “Who’s the man?” type scenario.
This man certainly won that day. At another husband’s expense. Literally.
