Brilliant video shows dancers in different places shaking a move to ‘Rhythm Is A Dancer’
Okay, I didn't expect them to move like this!

Dancing has no borders, it’s universal, the same in every language, and is something everyone can do! Let’s be honest, some are definitely better than others, but we all can dance and it has a way of bringing people together.

During this age of social-distancing, parties, festivals, weddings, and other large gatherings that would usually call for a lot of dancing have been cancelled.

But just because we can’t dance in groups, doesn’t mean we can’t dance together. This brilliant video has spliced together clips of people in different locations dancing to the same song!

Dancing to the popular 1992 smash party music hit, Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap!, this video is an awesome example of things we can do together while being apart.

We see our first dancer sitting in a monochromatic grey room, on a bright yellow chair, wearing matching socks and shoes. The music plays and she starts to move her feet, slowly the rhythm takes over and she’s grooving from head to toe.

Some songs are so catchy you just can’t help but move your feet!

Then the video cuts to some dancers who prefer to show off their moves in the sunshine.

Two girls who are brave enough to shuffle their way across the crosswalk dance to the beat… which was probably released before they were born!

A solo dancer takes her moves up to a view point where she can twirl above the coastline. Her pirouettes are perfect!

All these dancers are so confident in their abilities that they’re totally unbothered by dancing in public places.

You’d also have to be careful not to step on anyone’s toes – literally!

Not caring about what other people think is a skill that I think we could all benefit from, but it takes a lot of confidence to pull off! But I guess when you’re as talented as this bunch are, it’s easy.

Some of the locations are absolutely stunning!

Forget a dance studio – when there’s a sea to dance by and mountains to look at in the distance, dancing outside seems like the way to go!

As the clips jump back and forth to cover the various dancers, we’re brought back to the woman in the yellow socks.

She’s now up from her chair and dancing through the grey room, brightening it up!

It’s cool how each dancer brings their own style to their section of the video.

Some have chosen to dress casually and others are wearing blazers or dresses.

One couple has really made their scene pop with some giant balloons and bright yellow flowers in a beautiful green space.

Based on some mild investigating into the background details of the video… you can tell which city all these dancers are in!

Have you figured it out? Here are some hints…

It’s Naples, Italy!

You can spot iconic sites like Mt. Vesuvius, Pizza del Plebescito, Castel dell’Ovo, as well as some Italian words in the shopping areas, and of course Venetian masks in the market!

The video mainly features those city staple, but also follow some dancers inside. Like this woman in her pyjamas!

This is the kind of dancing I do… in pyjamas, that is, not the great dance moves. I wish!

The video ends back indoors, as the same woman who kicked it off with her bright yellow dancing shoes goes back to her chair, tapping her feet again as the music fades out.
