Making Memories
She lost her partner the year before. To remember him, she created a quilt using his work shirts. It was one of the hardest things she had to do but she was glad she did it.
The most astounding part about this is that they did it in layers. They could have just created a flat quilt with the plant but it wonโt be as exciting as this one. They created each element by itself and then connected them all. Itโs a masterpiece!
This is the work of his friendโs mom. Correction. This is just one of the quilted works of his friendโs mom. She has done so much already and itโs hard to decide which is the best because theyโre all the best.
Itโs a quilt made of 1/2 inch strips of different colors. This was made by her husband. Heโs either crazy with too much time on his hands or heโs obsessive or heโs just determined. Maybe itโs all three.
They didnโt make this but they did buy it at a Goodwill store. According to the label at the back, this quilt was made by NeNe in a span of year. Well, that year didnโt go to waste and this quilt still went to a loving home.
Sheโs finally done with this barn-inspired quilt. She may have taken this photo between rain showers but it was the perfect backdrop for this adorable quilt.
She posted one of her mother-in-lawโs quilts a few weeks before this new post and everybody loved it. The comments made her MIL so happy and she asked if her daughter-in-law could share her Christmas quilt. What a small gesture in exchange for the joy in her heart.
Who knew collecting scraps of fabrics could create something this beautiful? 20 years of scraps, 2,640 pieces, and 18 months of hand sewing created this one-of-a-kind creation.
