Every puppy is cute no matter what its breed or whatever may be wrong with it. Including this one called Nawhal.
Abandoned
Nawhal was seen wandering around in the cold. He wasn’t alone as there was another dog with him. He was rescued by the Jackson Missouri Animal Rescue
A Discovery
Not long after his rescue something strange was noticed about him.
Nawhal has a tail growing out of his forehead.
The Little Unicorn
It reminded everyone who saw him of a little Unicorn.
No The Tail Doesn’t Respond
Nawhal has grabbed a lot of attention since his picture has appeared on the internet. Many are asking if the tail wags. Rescuers are saying that so far they have not seen the tag wag or respond.
No Connection
The puppy has been examined by a vet who says the tail is not connected to the puppy’s head in any other way, which is a good thing.
The Unicorn Tail Joke
One person said, it just appears as though the puppy was assembled wrong. Always follow the directions, people!
No Big Problem
The tail is not creating any problems for the pup. The vet sees no reason to remove it now.
Up For Adoption
The puppy will be put up for adoption and the new owners will be able to monitor the situation.
No Other Problems
Other than this extra part, the puppy is totally healthy and has no other problems. Although he did have a foot injury when he was first found.
The Rescue Centre – Mac’s Mission
The Rescue Centre that has the pup specializes in animals that are special just like this little “unicorn” pup. Just imagine what would happen to these animals that are not wanted just because they are flawed. This center deserves to be supported.
Not So Unusual
Although this extra puppy’s tail has caused quite a stir it is not uncommon for animals to be born with extra parts.
Cat With Thumbs
This cat was born with thumbs and rather than it being a disadvantage the cat has learned to make good use of them. It certainly is strange to look at and is most noticeable.
Lamb With Five Legs
This little lamb is super cute but draws even more attention because of its fifth limb. He has two normal back legs but three front legs. The extra addition doesn’t seem to be causing him any problems, as he can frolic with his mates with ease. Jake is lucky because records show lambs born with deformities don’t live very long. He was one of three triplets.
2 Headed Calf
This most unique calf was born in Peru. A local vet said this deformity could have been caused by the use of antibiotics during the gestation period.
Two Nosed Dog
This beautiful dog was born with two noses. It was tough finding a home for this little guy but when he became known offers for adoption came from all parts of the world.
Animals can be born with defects just like humans. Unfortunately, many of them face rejection just like some humans do.
