Delfina Plaja and her husband, Olivier Tops, were potty training Taco, the dog she received as a gift on her last birthday. To help Taco, they decided to train him mostly outside their home.

On one of their runs, Delfina noticed a little kitty under a car in front of her building. When Taco looked at him, he came out and when straight to the little dog.

Eventually, Delfina discovered the kitten was abandoned and her neighbor was doing his best to kept him fed. She hoped to gain his trust so she brought treats every time they went out to give to this little one.

And it worked! A week later, the little kitten was already there, waiting for his friend, Taco. He felt safe with Taco and looked forward to his regular visits. But Delfina and Olivier knew they wanted to do more for this little kitty. And when an all-day rainstorm soaked the little kitty, Delfina and Olivier knew they had to take him home.

He was scared at first but when he knew Taco was there, he began to relax. And after that, no one could break the two of them apart. They became more than just best friends, they became brothers.

And so, Delfina and Olivier officially adopted him and named him Tequila.
