Prince Harry has a lot of adoring fans. Many people will go to great lengths to meet the member of royalty. One fan, however, made quite the impression on Prince Harry.

97-Year-Old Daphne Dunn, from Sydney, Australia, waited seven long hours to meet the well-known Prince. She hoped he’d recognize her from their first meeting two years ago. To her surprise — he did.

Prince Harry was visiting Sydney to promote the Invictus Games. As he was touring the Sydney Harbor, he had dozens of fans waiting in the rain to get a glimpse of the prince. Better yet, a handshake or a picture. Daphne was one of those fans.

Two years ago, Daphne first met Prince Harry when he was doing work with the Australian Defense Force and had stopped at the Sydney Opera House. He noticed Daphne in the crowd because she was wearing multiple military medals. One of them was the Victoria Cross. Given the prince’s involvement with the military, this caught his eye.

Once part of the Australian Women’s Army service, the veteran told Prince Harry that she had lost her first husband, Albert Chowne, in WWII; she was wearing his Victoria Cross medal in his honor.

Anytime there are events surrounding those that have been involved with the service; Daphne will attend, wearing all of the medals around her neck. The prince was moved by Daphne and her story, he kissed her on the cheek and said goodbye. Little did either of them know — they would repeat the gesture two years later. When he spotted her in the crowd, standing in the rain, he immediately went over to greet her.

“He remembered me. And gave me another kiss on the other side,” Daphne recalled when speaking with reporters.

After a few moments of chatting for the second time, the prince gave her big hug. It was an honor for Daphne to meet someone not once, but twice, who has such involvement and dedication to veterans and active members of the military.

Prince Harry created the Invictus Games back in 2014. The event allows wounded, injured, or sick armed services personnel to compete in different sporting events. Guess which city will be hosting the games in 2018? Sydney, Australia!

Maybe Daphne and Prince Harry will be reunited for the third time in 2018. Until then, hearing Daphne recall her “fangirl” moment in the video below will have to do.
