A high school teacher based in Pretoria, South Africa demonstrated her dance moves in front of her students.

The teacher, known only as Mrs. Bullock, decided to show some of the students at the all-girls school where she teaches how she gets down. She chose the Robot Boii Salary Salary dance challenge and showed off her talent to the girls while they were on a midday break.

Mrs. Bullock got very invested in the challenge, as shown by her facial features in a few of the shots.

She also faced off against a few of her students who thought they could out-dance the teacher… she proved them wrong and each of the students who stepped up ended up backing down. Everything was done in the spirit of fun, a way to show that students that even adults can get jiggy with it.

Both teacher and students are laughing throughout the video and are obviously having a good time.

High school can be an extremely emotional and frustrating time for students and it is nice to see them engaging in such fun wholesome behavior, even if it is just over a silly dance. Having a teacher that is generally well-liked, as Mrs. Bullock seems to be, can also make the experience better.

After some of her students posted the video online, Mrs. Bullock’s dancing quickly went viral and gained well over 5 million views.

One comment made by a user named ‘charity Ntuzela’ sums it up perfectly by saying “It’s not what we teach that stays with people forever, rather it’s how we make them feel in the teaching process that stays with people forever. We all need that teacher that makes learning more than just books and exams but a little excitement once in a while.”

Many of the comments also reference the fact that, while Mrs. Bullock is Caucasian, the majority of her students aren’t.

These comments are not said in a negative way, but instead to highlight how, in the end, music has no race. Every single person has the ability to dance to whatever music moves them, and to dance like no one is watching.

South Africa was hit hard by the Covid-19 Pandemic, as well as many other political issues within the country, and the residents of the nation were happy to find something positive to focus on.

Mrs. Bullock spent her free time learning the dance and then decided to showcase her new moves in front of her students. Her aim was not to become the star of a viral video, but rather to bond with her students and show them that, even if your surroundings or circumstances aren’t the best, you can still have fun.
