When her mom asked her why she did this, her response was โKids donโt get married so thatโs why I put a headlock down on him. And thatโs why I took him down.โ
When she recovered, her dad started to wrestle with her in order to help her gain strength and coordination.
Her dad was quoted as saying, โItโs not like I taught her [a headlock]. I was just trying to get her stronger and coordinated and I guess she figured out what I was doing and I didnโt really realize she learned it.โ
You can never start learning self-defense at too young of an age and Kynlee surely has a head start on many people.
According to World of Self-Defense, โConsidering the alarming rate and increase in child trafficking globally, our kids should have the option of being prepared for a worst-case scenario, itโs our duty as parents to teach them some plan of action, whether it be self-defense or just outsmarting an attacker whenever they notice something out of the ordinary.โ
So the ideal situation for little Kynlee is that she continues to wrestle with her father and learn more self-defense moves, but know when and where it is appropriate to use them.
I can only imagine how many things you worry about as a parent.

Iโm still a long way off from becoming a dad (hopefully), but I have a few friends and a sister who have kids and Iโve heard them share their worries about keeping their kids safe.
