We're guessing it was a slow day for real crime.

When you think about things that you’d like to do in your lifetime, getting arrested rarely makes it onto that list. Well, unless you’re these 99-year-old and 102-year-old women. This was a wish on their bucket lists!

Just wait until you see how happy they were to have the cuffs slapped on!

At 99-year-old, Annie really wanted to know what it was like to be arrested, so her niece contacted their local PD and asked if they could fulfill that wish

People have put all sorts of bizarre wishes on their bucket lists, but being arrested? That’s one I’ve never heard before. The crazy thing, she’s not the first elderly lady who’s wanted to experience the long arm of the law.

The police don’t usually make exceptions for who can and can’t spend time in a jail cell, but for Annie, they decided to change the rules a bit. The 99-year-old woman is from the Netherlands, so her niece contacted the Nijmegen-Zuid police station to see if they could help her with this rare request.

So they picked Annie up at home, handcuffed her, and put her in the back of a squad car to take her down to the police station. She smiled from ear to ear during the entire process, proving that even at 99-years-old, she still has a wild side.

The look on her face says it all, and it’s not the usual look people give when being arrested. Nope, Annies’ face has pure joy written all over it.

They even let Annie spend some time in a jail cell before taking her home!

She spends a few minutes handcuffed and in a cell before the police kindly take her back home. Let’s just hope she didn’t like it too much, or else she might start committing crimes just to go back.

Surprisingly, she’s not the first elderly woman to make this request.

At 102-years-old, Edie Sims had this same odd bucket list request. Back in 2016, the Missourian asked if the St. Louis Police Department would help her fulfill her “getting arrested” bucket list item.

Again, the PD obliged, this time all the way around the world on a completely different continent. Edie was picked up at the Five Star retirement community she lives in, where she was known for knitting socks and scarfs for the other residents.

Edie however, wasn’t going to actual jail, instead, she was being escorted in the back of the police car to deliver the gifts she had knitted for fellow residents. It was the first time she ever got to deliver them in person.

Both, Annie, and Edie got to fulfill their bucket list wish, and they were both as happy as could be.

This must have been interesting for the police officers involved!
