Every parent loves taking pictures of his or her child, and this mom is no different. She has expertly captured just about every moment of her children’s lives, and they couldn’t be more beautiful.
Sara Easter is a mom of three boys, and she is obsessed with capturing every part of their journey together. Sara’s love of photography is nothing new, but now that she is a mom the passion has taken on a whole new meaning.
“I’ve been doing photography since I was in high school but for me it took on a new importance once my kids were born,” Sara said to Scary Mommy.
“It quickly became evident how fast this was going to go, how much was going to be constantly changing.”
And change it has. Time slows for no one, and every parent has learned to bitterly accept the relentless passing of time. As their children grow more with each passing day, parents are left only to remember the time when their little ones relied on them so heavily.
Sara has found a way to preserve the precious, spontaneous moments life has to offer – by capturing them on camera. This mom wants to portray as much of her children’s lives as possible, so she is constantly behind a lens.
“I photograph them pretty much every day and I try to be intentional about the things I capture,” Sara shared.
“Although I don’t stage any of these photos, I have a list in my head of things I want to photograph about them when I notice them happening.”
Her photos are just too cute. Sara’s Instagram perfectly portrays how rewarding motherhood truly is.
For this mom, photos aren’t meant to be taken in a studio. Instead they should focus on the subject’s personality.
“I’m always on the look out for opportunities to capture their likes and dislikes, interests and mannerisms, as well as their ever changing physical attributes,” the photographer explained.
It is these – the teeny, tiny moments – that seem to be gone in a flash. As children quickly mature everything about them seems to change.
It is natural to feel hesitant when it comes to watching your little one gain a newfound independence, and Sara is resisting by holding each moment captive.
This mom is one talented photographer, and she has put her passion into a project almost any mother can get behind. Her utter adoration of her children shines through in each beautiful photo.
