Our pets never fail to make our hearts skip a beat. Usually, this is because of their adorableness. But sometimes, it’s because they actually scare the heck out of us. There are moments when we open the door and see the unintentionally gruesome image done by our pets. Most of the time, it’s our eyes that’s playing the trick. Regardless, that single second just gives us a quick heart attack.

1. Cat who loves playing dead
We do pranks for our pets but somehow, they could easily get us without even trying. This particular cat has a habit of laying down in a worrisome position. Sometimes he would lay down like a dead cat and does not even have a shred of guilt for spooking his owner. Although, you got to admit that this cat is simply beautiful.
2. Never leave paprika near your cats…
We love putting in paprika to spice up and color our dishes but apparently, their reddish color does not only give your food a good punch but scare pet owners as well. This cat had his hands on the paprika bottle and the powder spilled all over the floor with her rolling on it. The fur-parents happened to find their cat but almost fainted due to the bloody mess she made.

3. …and dragon fruits with your dogs, apparently.
Dogs love to make a mess with everything they have on sight and this time this pudgy corgi got his paws on a dragon fruit. The corgi’s owners came back home to a corgi lying on the floor smeared with red-violet splotches. The sight almost gave the owners a heart attack but eventually found out that it was all their dog’s silly doing.

4. I’d faint if I walked into this in my room
Imagine walking into your darkroom to this creature staring directly at you. The flashlight perfectly lit the dog’s face, and in a spooky way too! If it were me, I would surely run back down where everyone is.
5. Always fix the holes in your ceiling
Fixing holes in your ceiling could benefit you in a lot of ways. Firstly, there would be no water leaking whenever it rains cats and dogs. Secondly, it is satisfying to look at a fixed, furnished ceiling. Lastly, you won’t be terrified one day when looking at a cat staring down at you from that hole.

Dogs play hard and rough and it is enough to make you worry. 29. Adorable iguana doing your grocery shopping
This surprise is something that makes you run to get your camera and take a photo of the scene. This adorable lizard loves latching onto things so his owner made him a mini-grocery cart. 32. You have to look at this a second time after getting scared the first glance
This particular image of a cat will creep you out because of how his peculiar spot looked like in sandy areas. The cat has a brown spot, with a black shade painted like a shadow, in the stomach. When someone found the cat roaming around the sand, the person first noticed the spot that looked like a hole in the stomach. It is funny after realizing that it was all a weird optical illusion.

35. Cat wanted to go where his owner goes
Most days, we have to leave our pets at home as we go to work, school, or attend some important business. This cat decided to sneak into his owner’s bag one day and was brought without the owner knowing. They were only surprised when they found the cat’s head sticking out while on the driveway.
36. Why do some dogs lie down like this?
Dogs have no ounce of awareness of how much they frighten us with their weird sleeping positions. Especially this corgi who slept like a thrown away teddy bear on the floor. As he was having his peaceful snores, the owner was definitely freaking out at the same time.
These pets may have unintentionally spooked their owners but at the same time gave us the gut-hurting laughter that just made our day better.
