There’s always that one person who believes that “rules are for fools.” You know, the person who bucks the system and refuses to go with the flow. But then again, not caring about rules is often seen in the form of misjudgment. Those are the individuals who find themselves in precarious situations due to some kind of error.
While not perhaps funny to them, their unfortunate experiences are hilarious to the rest of us. To see what we mean, check out these 50 examples of people who had a difficult time following the rules.
After flipping their car, the man wanted to have his photo taken. The only problem…he forgot to get his wife out first. You can see her inside the vehicle, probably thinking “What in the heck is he doing?”
You’d think using the word “please” would encourage the thief to return the stolen marker. But no. They prefer to be definite to the point of using it to write their answer.
Come on, everyone knows to take a product from the top. Either this person wasn’t paying attention or they just don’t care about rules. We’re guessing it’s the latter.
While there’s nothing wrong with raising a child to be independent, this might be taking things a little too far. For one thing, he stands out like a sore thumb. For another, this is about baby Jesus’ birth for goodness sake.
Hopefully, this was a photo-op. If not, this guy has some serious issues. Then again, if you’re going to break one rule, you might as well break them all.

11. This seems inappropriate
If we saw a sign like this, we’d do the same thing this woman did. Okay, so this restaurant was referring to dishes. But in this case, we understand why she didn’t adhere to the rules.
This motorcyclist could care less where he parks. Dude…that’s the pathway used by people in wheelchairs. I would be funny if someone in an electric scooter ran over his bike to teach him a lesson.
13. Cancelled flight – no problem
When this person’s flight was cancelled, they could’ve done the right thing, you know, go to a hotel. But no…they had to pitch their tent right there at the gate. It’s no different than pitching a tantrum.
For whatever reason, this public transportation doesn’t allow hot dogs on board. So, as expected, one person couldn’t follow the rules. But since he didn’t bring a beverage and popsicle with him, he’s only a third bad.
This man didn’t break any hard rules. But from the look on this gal’s face, she doesn’t agree. Seriously, who carries around a boombox while wearing headphones in today’s society?
Sure, the person who drives this car got the same memo as everyone else. The one that said to avoid the parking lot because a crew would be working on it. He might think he’s clever but with all that equipment, those workers might decide to get even.
Just because the box shows a kitty inside doesn’t mean this guy is going to do the same thing. Not today He’d much rather dominate his new tunnel.
18. Geographically challenged
These two guys don’t care that they’re in Paris, France. They both love Berlin. So, they’re going to proudly wear these shirts to prove it.
19. Hurricane Sandy…hogwash
Due to the dangers of Hurricane Sandy, people were told to stay at home. But it appears these kayakers couldn’t resist a craving for fresh crabs. Not only didn’t they follow the rules but neither did the restaurant owner.
This bowl might be made for pasta, but one person didn’t like that rule. They preferred to use it for cereal. That’ll show this bowl who’s the boss.
What a gorgeous dessert. And the bakery where it came from included cutting lines to ensure everyone got a piece. Well, this individual wasn’t concerned about anyone but himself.
There’s an unwritten rule at airports for people who ride moving walkways. You stand on the right and allow others to pass on the left. Not in this granny’s lifetime…she’ll hold everyone up and she doesn’t give a rat’s behind.
This person has no time for perfection. This shows they didn’t follow the rule of using the same type of brick. It also shows they’re downright lazy.
Hello…lady, when the bridge starts to rise, you shouldn’t be on it. But in her mind, that rule doesn’t apply. If she hurries, she’ll be just fine…let’s just hope she realized her mistake before it was too late.
One…she should exchange her zebra for a horse. Two, she shouldn’t ride in the street, Three, her dog needs to be on a leash. Then again, this is in Florida where just about anything goes.
26. The true sign of a rebel
After ordering a product from Laz-E-Boy, this individual noticed something on the outside of the box. It’s a picture that shows not to use a boxcutter for opening it. So, what did this person do? They used a boxcutter, of course.
You just can’t help some people. Considering juice packs have been on the market for a long time, there’s no way this person didn’t know about the hole at the top for the straw. We think they just don’t like rules.
As this little girl’s dad explained, the street was filled with fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars due to a large fire. But she didn’t care. When the swing calls her name, she has to respond.
Yeah, that’s a great place for a chimney ventilation shaft. During the cold winters, this person will enjoy a roaring fire. As for the outside of the house…who needs a faux balcony. In our opinion, they should’ve followed their architect’s advice.
Companies like Sony have dress codes in place for a reason. But the hippie-looking dude, he follows his own rules. At a minimum, you’d think he would do the right thing not just because he’s a skilled engineer but also because this was supposed to be a nice photo of the department members.
It’s a car after all. Sure, it’s a super long one but a car just the same. This driver probably thinks because he gets to tool around in a fancy limousine that he gets some kind of special privilege.

It’s clear this man has zero respect. Here’s a secret. Messing with things in a woman’s kitchen is never going to have a good outcome. That’s a big no-no.
This boy fell asleep in the middle of a store because he was tired. Did it ever dawn on him that he’s blocking an aisle and disrupting other people’s shopping experience? This kid needs some discipline.
You’ve got to be kidding. This photo shows that not caring is highly contagious. Good grief, what do the street maintenance workers need to do…put flashing lights on the correct side of the street with big signs that read, “Park Here?”

39. Overwhelming temptation
You see a sign. On it, you see a figure being caught on camera trying to steal it. What are you going to do? Probably what Obama did…pretend to steal it. On the other hand, maybe he did steal it.
It seems as though people who don’t like to follow rules are also distasteful. Case in point…this guy. Hopefully, there weren’t any small children around to witness his disgusting representation of the message.
41. Safely disobeying the rules
As you can see, this sign indicates “no diving.” Well, someone had to have fun with it. Okay, so this gal doesn’t like rules but at least she breaks them safely.
It looks as though this sign has other words like “10 minute,” meaning whoever parks there doesn’t have to pay until that amount of time passes. Trying to be a rebel, this woman used her leg to hide the message. But the next time she pulls a stunt like this, she might want to pay close attention to where the arrow points combined with the words.
Of course, since this guy hates to follow rules, he’s going to do the opposite of what this sign says. Perhaps public transportation should try reverse psychology. Change the signs to read, “This seat is reserved for someone in a really bad mood.” Who knows, it might work.
Well, how about that? It’s not just people who don’t care about rules. It also applies to animals. Chances are they learn from human behavior. Just saying…
As you’ve learned, some people who don’t like to follow rules are also tacky, disrespectful, and embarrassing. But here’s another description. They’re incredibly stubborn.

49. Turning back the hands of time
We have some bad news for this guy. Just because you sit in the teen section of the library doesn’t mean you’ll become a teenager again. But if it makes you feel better about yourself to bypass the rules, go for it.
There’s nothing wrong with having the last name “Hedgehog.” But it seems this professor doesn’t find any humor in someone forcing it on him. Whoever’s breaking the rule…we don’t think he’s playing around
51. Careless person wannabe
This individual wants to live on the edge so bad but isn’t quite there yet. Technically, they’re not using a blade. At the same time, they’re opening the box with something unconventional. You’re almost there, baby.
Not this clown. Some people just can’t help themselves. Seeing a “do not” sign like this only made matters worse. Who is this masked man?
Kind of reminds you of the song by Paul Anka, “My Way.” That might be this person’s inspiration…who knows? But what we do know…making a hole for the straw is a lot more fun than using the existing one designed for that purpose.
It’s not just people and animals. Now, trees have to break rules, too. This is so disappointing. Just a little the other way and it would’ve looked a lot better.
You have to remember that for some people, breaking rules isn’t their fault. It’s in their DNA. And since this is pretty creative, we’ll give this individual a pass.
