Musical band Pentatonix (PTX) has been stealing our hearts since we first met them in 2011. They appeared on the 3rd season of NBCโ€™s The Sing-Off, eventually taking home the competitionโ€™s first-place prize.

Since then, the Texas group has been entertaining fans with their a cappella sound, dance skills, and overall unique approach to modernizing classic songs.

Theyโ€™ve had great success over the years, some of which is shared on PTXโ€™s website:

โ€œThree-time Grammyยฎ Award-winning and multi-Platinum-selling Pentatonix has sold nearly 10 million albums worldwide and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold out shows across the globe. Their YouTube channel boasts more than 14.5 million subscribers, yielding over 3 billion video views. Their 2015 self-titled album is certified gold after debuting #1 on Billboardโ€™s 200.โ€

PTX is known for breathing fresh air into a wide variety of classics. Theyโ€™ve covered songs like โ€œHallelujah,โ€ โ€œThe Sound of Silenceโ€ and โ€œBohemium Rhapsody.โ€ They also have a flair for updating Christmas carols as well.

But this time around, it was Elton Johnโ€™s โ€œCan You Feel the Love Tonightโ€ that was given a PTX makeover.

Many of us have been fans of The Lion King since it first came out in 1994. 25 years later, it too was given a reboot with a new โ€œreal-lifeโ€ version thatโ€™s been in theaters (unique to the original animated tale).

While the storyโ€™s beautiful on its own, The Lion King will always be remembered for its music. Sir Elton John helped contribute several big hits to the movieโ€™s song list including, โ€œCan You Feel the Love Tonight,โ€ โ€œHakuna Matata,โ€ and โ€œCircle of Life.โ€

In 1995, โ€œCan You Feel the Love Tonightโ€ took home an Academy Award for Best Original Song, according to Song Facts.

More than two decades later, PTX has delighted fans with their own version thatโ€™s making a splash on the internet. Get ready for chills.

The video features band members Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola, and the newest addition โ€“ Matt Sallee. Together they mix their voices to create a sound that is none the less breathtaking.

In the spirit of The Lion King, PTX stands in front of a rising sun and is dressed in clothing representative of the storyโ€™s African theme. There is, however, an incredible uniqueness that comes through with their version โ€“ and they do not disappoint with the beauty of their combined talents.

Since it was posted, viewers have expressed their amazement over PTXโ€™s โ€œCan You Feel the Love Tonight.โ€ Some have been given goosebumps, while others admit to being brought to tears.

โ€œAgain, Pentatonix arranges an existing masterpiece, but adds their own musicality to create something that feels so brilliant and brand new.โ€
