A lot of people have a tendency to think that once you have a baby, your life is over. You can’t go on vacation, you can’t have a night out, and you can’t have any fun ever. But that is a big misconception!
Life does not stop once you have a baby. In fact, it might actually become more fun.
You have someone to laugh with, a new friend to travel with, and overall you have someone who is going to light up your life forever!
And I mean, have you ever tried dancing with a baby strapped to your chest?
These parents certainly are not holding back from having fun. They prove that any claims that parents can’t dance are false — these guys most certainly can. They can dance well even with a baby strapped on their chest. Sure. Why not?
Moms and dads alike took apart of the fun.
Some of the dancers in the video, which was uploaded to YouTube in May last year, are Phil Wright, Shaun T, Scott Blokker, Kiara Hotcher, Evan Moody, Criscilla Anderson, Coffee Anderson, Cassidy Saveedra, Courtney Ann, Natalia and Shelice Vazquez and many more. Phew — that’s a lot of dancers!
The dance is called the “Parent Jam” and yes, you probably guessed it right — it is a dance session made up of proud parents.
As the wildly catchy and most certainly dance-worthy “Take Your Time (Do It Right)” by S.O.S band plays, two dads enter the screen.
They are wearing matching white t-shirts and though it looks like they are just freestyling and riffing off of each other at first, they soon jump into choreography that was clearly planned out and rehearsed in advance.
As they dance it out, all of the other parents and their babies form a line in the back and rock with them, smiling and cheering them on loudly. There are also some more fully grown kids, maybe around six or seven-years-old who are also joined in at the back.
Perhaps the cutest part is that while they look super happy and very into their moves, they are still very protective of their babies. Throughout the entire dance they make sure to hold their heads up and make them secure in their little kangaroo pouch. One father even gently kisses his baby’s head mid-dance. It is so adorable.
The love between the parents and their babies is clearly felt.
And of course, the dance gets a bit funky towards the end as one dad get on the floor. He stands on his knees — still with his baby — and rocks back and forth, nailing the dance just as good as any dancer without a baby!
After the two fathers wrap up their dance session, another pair of parents come in to dance to the same song, this time a mother (with no baby) and a father, who is carrying a baby.
The dance is once again super impressive, filled to the brim with twists, spins, jumps and plenty of claps and shimmies!
