Just like the usual, the Central Station was teeming with commuters from different places and everyone was minding their businesses when suddenly, the song “Do Re Mi” from the movie The Sound of Music filled the air. The commuters were not used to hearing such loud music at the station and were quite intrigued by the change.

Just when the people thought that that was all there was to it, one man started to do some dance moves, shocking everyone who was near enough to see him. A little while later, a little girl joined the man and both of them danced together in the middle of the busy station!

It did not take long for other people to notice that something was going on amid the huge room. One by one, others joined in the dance number creating a small group of dancers grooving it out in the center.

As the song progressed, the small group of dancers slowly got bigger and bigger until almost fifty people were moving in sync to the tune of the amazing song from the world-renowned musical. Now, most people would think that this size of a flash mob is already a lot, but what the onlookers did not know was that more people were coming in to make this public display of talent more epic than it already was!

More than a hundred members of the mob came pouring in from the second level of the station, effectively making the size of the mob bigger than what people usually witness. At that moment, more than 200 people, both adults and children, were already dancing in the middle of the Central Station and everyone watching on were completely amazed by what was unfolding before their eyes.

Some people danced as they watched while others clapped their hands in utter amazement. It was such a spectacular event and the onlookers were absolutely lucky to have witnessed the entire thing live!

Just when everyone thought that the surprise was over, the music suddenly transformed into a pop remix of the original song! Everyone was shocked once more in the new twist in the massive production number. As if the epic dance of the original song was not enough, the flash mob even danced to a modern version of Julie Andrews’ song!

The flash mob was initiated by VTM, a Belgian TV station. It was a promotional stunt that was meant to help them in looking for someone who can play the lead role in their version of the musical The Sound of Music.
