We often assume that age affects us all the same, and that it deteriorates our appearances, but Olivia proves those theories are completely wrong. If you make healthy choices, you can live blissfully throughout your golden years.

Olivia was born in Tokyo, Japan. Her father was a British diplomat, and he was conducting his business in the city at the time. In 1919 she and her family moved to California, where Olivia discovered her love of acting.

Her mother had been an actress in her single life, and she was more than happy to teach her talents to her children. Olivia and her sisters learned to act, dance, and play music – all from their own home.

Olivia wasn’t the only one realized that she loved acting. Her sister, Joan Fontain, would also become a successful actress.

Both women had amazing careers in the world of performance. Olivia starred in 49 movies, and she is one of the few surviving actresses for what is considered Hollywood’s golden age.

As each of the sisters achieved success, the rivalry between them only developed further. The two went head to head for an Oscar for best actress in 1941. Ultimately Joan received the award for her role in Suspicion.

Olivia may not have won the Oscar, but she lead a career that anyone would be pleased with. The elegant actress inspired millions with her powerful performances, and she continues to act as a source of inspiration as she gracefully enters extremely old age.
