It’s the 10th anniversary of the insanely popular show ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians, ” and a New Zealand library’s social media team decided to celebrate by recreating a Kardashian photoshoot. They nailed it.
The Invercargill City Libraries and Archives‘ social media team has quite the sense of humor, and they certainly proved it on one of their recent Facebook posts. Perfectly mimicking the five ridiculously famous Kardashian (and Jenner) women, the team of five librarians pose in their very own “magazine cover” photoshoot.
Here is the original Kardashian photoshoot:
And here is their amazing rendition:
“It has been 10 years since the Kardashians first graced our screens. To celebrate, our social media team decided to have a totally impromptu, definitely not planned, photo-shoot,” the caption reads.
Since the photo was posted last week, it has been shared over 5,000 times with over 11,000 likes — 4,000 of those were on the first day alone.
As to be expected, when you have a post this good, you’re going to garner a lot of attention — and that’s precisely what they did. People were leaving comments left and right — applauding the library’s social media team for completely nailing the Kardashian shoot — in the most librarian way possible.
Another commenter even called the creative social media team ‘pathetic,’ and once again, they responded in the best way possible.
“Promoting our library to a new generation? We don’t think there is much better we can do Gail. Unless you think Libraries aren’t worth promoting?” Another mic dropped.
The entire Invercargill City Libraries and Archive post is below. What do you think? A humorous way to promote the library? Or a waste of their time?
