Most 13-year-olds with an X-Box arenโt aware of whatโs going on around them. But one teenage boy from Fernley, Nevada saw his mom was struggling and decided he needed to help.
Being a single mom canโt be easy and while parents rarely mean to put their burdens onto their children, many kids know when something is up. William Rabillo is one of those kids and while he didnโt do it for the attention, heโs inadvertently warming hearts everywhere with his act of kindness and self-sacrifice.

Rabilloโs mother Krystal June Preston said in a Facebook post that the family had recently fallen on hard times:
โThe last couple weeks have literally been hell filled with so many tears, anger, confusion, and heartache.โ
While the details are private to the family, one of the struggles she faced was being without a car to get herself to work or take her 3 kids where they needed to go.

After seeing a video on YouTube in which someone gifted their mother with a car, Rabillo set out to do the same.
He was already doing chores for neighbors to earn some extra cash but decided to step up his efforts once he had a much bigger goal in mind. In her post, his mom called him โa lawn mowing, yard cleaning, money making machine.โ
He found a woman on Facebook selling a white 1999 Chevy Metro and reached out to her to offer a trade โ his X-Box and some yard work for her car.
He told ABC 8, that at first, she declined:
โIt was really cheap so I asked her if I could trade it or earn it, and at first she said no. After she thought about it, then she said yes.โ
After making the deal a reality, the young man told his mother he bought her a car. According to Preston:
โWilliam came home and said, โMom I bought you a car.โ I of course laughed and told him, โYa right!โโ
Once Preston realized the truth, she was overcome with emotion:
โI completely lost it. I started balling my eyes out. I am speechless my 13 year old son bought me a car. He did some work for this women and that was his payment that he worked out with her. And here I thought it was a jokeโฆ Nope I was handed the keys and paperwork to the car and Iโm freaking out but so in shock.โ

Thousands of people have now liked or shared the Facebook post with the teen proudly standing in front of the car, but the notoriety wasnโt the point:
โI didnโt really want that to happen,โ he told ABC 8. โI just wanted to do it, thatโs all.โ
And this story isnโt just heartwarming, itโs more complex than anyone could have imagined. A few days after the surprise, Preston set up a GoFundMe page explaining that William does all of his good deeds despite some disabilities.
She explained:
โHe was born with a severe case of bilateral clubfoot. So from a week old William had surgeries and casting in both legs for years. He never once couldnโt do something he set his mind to. Learned to walk with a cast on and everything.
William also has ADHD and itโs been a struggle for him so a couple yearsโฆ โ
The story has reached so many people that the familyโs $5,000 goal was met and exceeded within 3 days. 150 donors made donations large and small to help the family out.

Preston added on Facebook how proud she was of her son:
โHe is such a good kid. He may have his days but OMG what 13 year old kid do you know that buys his mom a carโฆ William I love you son and thank you. You have such a big heart and I love youโฆโ
